We were in Seoul for a few days in May 2013.
We stayed at the Provista hotel. The place is more of a residence than a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, however not all of them spoke fluent English so make sure you're patient. The bedroom we stayed in was spacious, with a king size bed, a kitchenette with washer/dryer. We had a second tiny second floor, where you couldn't really stand up with a mattress we haven't used (not sure how it would help anyone but I guess it is worth mentioning). Cleanliness was a bit if an issue especially in the kitchen, let's say the room was superficially clean, the bed was made, the towels were changed and the bathroom cleaned however you could see dust on some furniture, stains on the stove and doors and mold in the shower corners.
We tried the restaurant, it was not bad but it was not unforgettable either.
We stayed in better hotels for that price.

The pros: close to metro station, good spot in Seoul, friendly staff.
The cons: cleanliness

Very nice hotel, good location, but the service of the staff was poor, very rare to see this kind of service in Seoul,
I ask for directions for Koex Convention Center and the answer was, "I don't know".
Koex, is one of the most important building in Seoul......!
In my 3 day in this hotel, this kind of service was repeted with all other member of the group...... the arrogance and the careless atititud of the staff

Nice neat and tidy hotel conviently located and reasonably priced with free membership to the well equipped public gym...well recommend. Only gripe, could be cleaner....a lot of dust and an old biscuit under the bed...need to clean under the beds and under the toilet seat as well.

From the airport, we took a public bus directly to the seocho gu area, Only 5minute walking distance from the bus stop you are already infront of the hotel`s door,

The room was spacious and comes with a household equipment like a small kitchen and washing machine which is not common in our country :)

We enjoy the room and the breakfast, though they only serve a limited variation but it was still ok.

Overall it was a nice and clean hotel, quite easy to reach the subway station and easy to get bus . taxi ( if you really2 in a rush...).

Good Point) There is a wash and dry machine in a room.
Bad Points) Only Shower No Bath is available. No Shower Toilet.
The most regrettable point is, Not enough trained staffs. I.e. When they got into the lift from 2nd floor as last, they got it out first, faster than the customers. They won't keep door open at all. The front door situation is exactly same. No Customer First. At the breakfast, even the customer is eating, they took the plate withtout asking, when the time is close to close. During the customer is taking a coffee from the counter, they clean customer's table up and set the knife and folk up for new customer. It means, they do not see, take care, who is sitting where.

Stayed there one week and was very pleased. Easy to bus (just down the block) and metro (Seoul Natl Univ of Education), room was very clean and spacious. Convenience of kitchenette, with washer/dryer. Staff was friendly and spoke some English. Lots of little restaurants in the back streets. No complaints, would go there again!

My grown daughter and I spent a week at this nice travelers hotel. The Individuals that worked the front desk spoke English well and were always helpful. This hotel sports a nice coffee/pastry cafe in the lobby and an Outback Steakhouse on the "B" level. This was great for me 'cause after 3 days of Korean food I needed a steak! There isn't really any need for a car in this area since within 3 blocks of the hotel you will find lots of local shops and restaurants as well as the entrance to the Seoul Metro and the nearest Airport Bus stop (not a bad walk as long as you don't have much luggage.). If you bring your car, there are just a couple of parking spots on the front sidewalk. Don't know if there is another parking lot nearby. Let's talk about the room. We were on the 9th floor with a view of the main road out front and had 2 twin beds which was perfect for the two of us gals. There was also a queen(?) size bed in the loft. Note- for a country of short people, staircases have steeper stairs than what we are used to in the US. You will have to scale a narrow & tall flight to access the loft bedroom but what fun for the adventurous! There was a small kitchenette that included a washing machine (most Asians don't use dryers, they save energy resources by hanging the clothes to dry and this would have been ok if there was a clothesline in the room. We used all the furniture and the loft railing to hang our clothes - embarrassing when housekeeping comes by. Oh well!). There was lots of closet and storage space in the room so it was easy to keep things in order. There was a nice size TV, viewable from the entire room, and the two twin beds sported firm mattresses. The room was very clean, well maintained and QUIET - we never heard people in the hallway or next door on on the street below. We loved our stay at the Provista!
