Our family, 2 adults and 3 teens, stayed at one double bed room and one twin (with double and single beds). The rooms are spacious enough, both with nice views. The rooms are clean and fairly new. They are cleaned everyday. One toilet bowl bidet and washer was not working. The shower stall's floor was very slippery, maybe because I was using rubber slippers. The hot-and-cold water was a little bit difficult to control, one minute it's cold then the other minute, it's very hot. All these difficulties are easy to overlook with a little bit patience.
The plus factor is the washing machine. The control dials were in Korean so I had to consult the internet for the translation. Knowing beforehand that there was a washing machine, I packed lightly. I got to wash some essential clothes during our 4-day stay.
Another plus factor is the kitchenette. My husband cooked dinner for us, having bought meat and vegetables from the nearby grocery (only a few meters away from the hotel). There were plates, cutleries, a pan, and a couple of glasses. We only bought a knife and a ladle, again from the grocery. This arrangement made us save a lot, considering that restaurants in the Gangnam district are very expensive. We only dined out four times during our stay.
The font desk personnel were very accommodating and spoke English well. They helped in writing for us the Korean for the places we wanted to go to. That way, the taxi drivers were able to understand us immediately.
What I also like about the hotel (residences) is that it is not very imposing. The facade is small and simple. The hotel lobby is also very small.
When it comes to location, I believe it would have been more convenient for us to stay in the northern part of Seoul because the tourist spots are there. Although there is a minute park a few steps away from the residences, and it is only a 10-minute walk to Gangnam subway, there are few "must-sees" in that part of Gangnam. Thus, we had to take taxis in going to Myeongdong and other parts of Seoul worth-seeing (in a tourist's point of view). Taxi fare from the northern part going to Gangnam costs US$9-10. The taxi can accommodate only up to 4 persons so we had to take 2 taxis at a time.
The worst about Gangnam Serviced Residences is the breakfast. For the 3 consecutive mornings that we stayed there, there were no changes in the food: omelette, rice, sliced sausage, french fries, self-service fried eggs, 2 kinds of cereal, 2 kinds of bread, jam & butter, 5 kinds of vegetable/fruit for the salad, orange juice, coffee, water. That's it. The interior of the restaurant was dim. And the staff there were not very friendly (smile a little, please).
If we are going back to Seoul, we will choose another hotel. However, our stay in Gangnam Serviced Residences was quite satisfactory.

Our family had a 2 week stay here and we were very happy with rooms we had at the Gangnam Serviced Residences. Both rooms had both a double and single bed. (The single being slightly hard due to wooden base). As other reviewers had mentioned previously, the washing machine was a God send, particularly as the weather has become very warm during our 2nd week and the washing powder jar was topped up every day when rooms were being serviced. Reception will send up an ironing board and iron if you need one.
WiFi was freely available in our rooms and there were also a couple of computers in the lobby which are free to use.
Although the hotel was busy, there were no loud noises from other rooms/halls etc that we heard during our stay, we were on the 5th floor and could however hear the traffic out front but that did not bother us at all.
There is a small restaurant down stairs but we did not use it so cannot comment. The lobby/reception area is quite small, but adequate, and outside beside it is a small shop where you can buy drinks snacks etc and sit outside and watch the world go by. Further down towards the metro station are 2 bigger stores just past the Best Western hotel next door.
There are no safes in the rooms but they have safe deposit boxes at the reception which are free to use.
Nearest subway is Sinnonhyeon a 5 minute walk downhill and Gangnam a further 5 - 10 walk left of Sinnonhyeon station. But be warned the walk from Sinnonhyeon back to hotel is uphill and not easy, particularly after a long day and weather very warm so maybe consider a taxi back which from Gangnam cost approx €3.
The airport KAL Limousine from Incheon stops next door at the Best Western so if using this bus ask the driver to let you off there. When getting there you will drive past it from the other side of the road but don't worry as the bus turns further up the road and goes by another hotel before turning back to go by the hotel on the its side of the road
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again

Room Tip: If you don't want to be disturbed by noise of traffic then ask for a room at rear of hotel.

We have stayed for 6 days with two kids, two adults. My daughter ages 10 and 5. I booked with free breakfast but upon learning it was good for 1 adult but my daughter aged 5 is free of charge. Upon checking out they asked me to pay for the food of my daughter (the five years old)which is half of adult fee.
I was suprised upon learning. I even asked them twice if it was free of charge then the reception confirmed it was free. The food was ok but it was of same menu everyday.
