Owner description: Poignant exhibits, war memorabilia, art works, and military equipment make this a perfect place to learn about Korea’s history of war, most notably with North Korea. Kids will enjoy the display of actual tanks and airplanes.

This museum is very big so you can easily spend an most of your day here if you want to. The 4D-cinema is a bit tacky and can be skipped, but the rest is interesting. Please bear in mind that the musem has a strong South Korean perspective of the 1953-war.

The museum is beautifully done. The monuments to fallen soldiers inside and outside the museum is touching.

Especially enjoyed the interviews of soldiers & documents (containing war operation orders).

There's a large amount of military tanks, jets, helicopters, firearms on show; if that kind of thing floats your boat.

This museum features a series of exhibits showing the history of Korea and their involvement in various wars through history including the internal wars between different Korean dynasties in old times as well as wars between Korea and Japan and China in ancient times. There are also displays of contemporary conflicts. The museum is so clean and the front desk speaks good English. The displays are all in at least two languages--Korean and English-- and many also are written in Mandarin. Detailed exhibits and many films are all for free and very informative. There is also a very clean and reasonably priced restaurant with some nice food next to the museum if you get hungry.

Many guide books do not even mention this exciting museum but it is well worth a visit.
