“Good business hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

The hotel though relatively old, in terms of age, it didn't look like an old dame. In fact, it looks so modern, contemporary and spanking new. Throughout our 6 days at the hotel, we were impressed with the service and the hardware of the property. It was clean, convenient (especially for business) and the rooms were rather spacious. My only gripe was the breakfast. Though the spread was rather good, but there should be some changes to the spread instead of having the same food throughout the 6 days there.

We stayed here in the month of December with our two kids. This is a very stylish hotel located in the gangnam district. It is about a twenty mins taxi ride to downtown shipping centers like Myeongdong and Dongdamun. There is an underground mall called Coex nearby and you can get some fashionable Korean clothes way cheaper than those sold at Doota..but you have to look hard. There are many nice little Korean restaurants at Coex mall too. Overall an enjoyable stay but would prefer to be near where the action is!

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nearby subway which link to gangnam underground shopping centre and nearby Kim's club (supermarket). Wifi only available at lobby. There are restaurants nearby the hotel.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

We just stayed here for 5 nights recently. We were on one of the executive floors in a double room. The room was very clean, but small and contained too much furniture. I'm sure this room is perfect for one guest, but not two. To make the most of the small space the hotel has placed the beds at an angle in these rooms (to allow access to both sides) but then for purely aesthetic reasons hung a lamp from the ceiling between the bed and the wall - guaranteeing the person on that side hits their head every time they get in or out of bed.

The washrooms are modern, clean and small. There are clear glass panels between the washroom and the room, but there is a blind that you can pull to provide a little privacy. The glass wall in our room had three panels, but only one blind - the entire area to the left of the sink was exposed. This makes it impossible to use the washroom with guests in your room, or open the door for room or maid service.

We had a room that faced the main road, so it was a little loud. We also happened to have a room for which we could not lower the thermostat below 22 centigrade. So the room was either hot or very loud (if we opened the window).

We ate one meal in the restaurant - some of us ate buffet, others ate a la carte. One (of four) of the a la carte orders was completely wrong when it arrived, but well-prepared nonetheless. The buffet was fresh and had a large variety of items from which to choose (including a very nice selection of cheeses).

The breakfast on the executive floor is also very nice. It opens at 7 daily. If you wake earlier and want coffee you can order it from room service from 6am onwards, or you can make it in your room - but we had no creamer or milk in our room. The executive area is also open for complementary wine, beer and snacks in the late afternoon.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

There is wifi throughout the hotel (but did not work in the restaurant where we sat). It was included with our room, so I've no idea what it costs (if not included). The signal was good, and we were able to connect many devices with no issues (however, we did have to log in every time we used the wifi).

This hotel is a four minute walk to the Express Bus Terminal subway station entrance, which serves the 3, 7 and 9 lines. This terminal is huge! Give yourself time to actually get to the platforms once at the entrance (it took us 25 minutes to figure everything out on our first trip).

There is a nice strip of stores and restaurants (and a Starbucks) a few blocks from the hotel, and there is a nice re-planned jogging route for runners.

I'd stay at this hotel again, but would request a larger room if staying with a guest.

Room Tip: Rooms not facing the front of the hotel might be quieter.

Overall good hotel within a little more sophisticated area... If you're on buisness than I'd recomwend this hotel if not its a little out of the way for anyone else especially if you're here for a holiday but the staff are helpfull and friendly. I don't know if its custom here in Korea but they tend to sign on your behalf, my experience was at the bar at the basement and was very annoyed that it was rampant after speaking to the manger but was very apologetic once I made noise

Stayed at the hotel for one night and participated a conference held there. Room decorations and furnitures are old, however, clean and tidy. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Facilities of conference rooms are good. Transportation of the hotel is convenient – 5 minutes’ walk to subway station and a limousine bus service between the hotel and the Incheon International Airport (ICN). The hotel is suitable for mid-size national or international conferences.

The service is good. The bar is too expensive for an informal wine or beer but there are good choices of restaurants. A short walk gets you to shentagae store and the French district. Rooms small but comfy I would stay here again.
