We travelled to Korea recently on 30/9-6/12 with 3adult, 1elderly and 2 teens. We enjoyed so much and have a memorable trip with the companion of TS Miki . He has a very considerate, patient, sensitive, understanding, caring personality and compassionate towards his professionalism. We felt he is part of our family member travelling with us during our visit to Korea. Indeed, Korea is a very nice country to visit, beside the sight seeing the local foods are YUMMY

We had planned a 3 day tour with 3 kids (ages 14, 12, 11). Kevin was so patient and accommodating. The kids loved him. We did a lot of activities because of his personalized attention to our needs as a family. Kevin always showed up early and left later than the tour ended. He tried hard to accommodate all our needs. We could not have a smooth of a trip without having Kevin to guide us.

What a great personal tour we had of Seoul. Our trip guide was Jay Lee who speaks English very well and in addition, at no cost, has a great sense of humor. There were three of us in our group (my wife, her best friend, and myself) and Jay did a great job of taking call of all our needs.

This is Korea (my initial contact was Mr. Kim) listened to what I wanted to see in Seoul and made an itinerary that fit us perfectly, however, Seoul did not cooperate. We arrived in the middle of a blizzard and it was -7 degrees C !!! Jay Lee had to readjust the itinerary since many of the places we were to visit were outside and it was way too snowy and cold, so we made adjustments. Do understand that Seoul has a serious traffic problem and after 3 pm everything stops or crawls along at 2 mph. So again you have to adjust.

Jay Lee was very helpful in taking us places that were not on anyones map and was very exciting like the Buddha Museum and the museum of Contemporary Art (which is as good as any museum in New York or San francisco) and the Samsung Museum. In addition, we had a great time going from store to store in the Instadong area of Seoul. Koreans have a great eye for design and art and believe me it shows.

Jay Lee was on time each morning to pick us up to get the tour started. We had a very nice SUV for the four of us and it had a great heater to keep us warm between venues. The cost of the three of us for a two day tour (not including lunches, dinners or tips) was $ 800 US which included Jay Lee, the car, gas and entrance fees for some of the venues) I had checked out several other tour companies and This is Korea was the least expensive and had the best guides. There are other tours that are cheaper, but all you buy is a seat on the bus. We did take the hop on/hop off bus tour the first day for an overview of Seoul and cost only $12 per passenger but you had no idea what you were looking at and there was no one to answer any questions (since the bus driver was busy doing the driving)

I highly recommend This is Korea for a tour of the city of Seoul and if you have the time some of the surrounding areas. This was my first trip to Seoul (after being in burma, laos, cambodia and vietnam) and I am glad we went.

Our family trip with 5 family members are assigned with Mr. Jay Lee. We're really thankful for his help during our visit to Seoul at 29thh July - 3rd August 2014 that we have a very memorabe summer visit to Seoul. Mr. Jay are able to take us conveniently with a 7-seater car, and very kind and understandable with our pace being muslim family travelers. Even when we can't manage to exit Everland in time (because our youngest brother has to see the safari and it has very long queue ^^;;;) and he had came to pick us up, he can tolerate the wait. Also, with our mother and father being a senior traveler, he is always makes sure that our parents feel well. He doesn't rush us or insist anything and can take us to taste many korean foods that is halal to be eaten. For example he knows the best place to eat street foods in Gwangjang Market, eat delicious lunch with ginseng and seafood pancake, also the best place to eat patbingsu in Hongdae, and eat jajangmyeon.

He can afford us for the schedule that is most convenient for us with considering what we want to do, to eat, or visit. While taking us to our family accomodation in Insadong, he also point us where is good place to eat good food. He is also very friendly, especially to our youngest brother, he able to accompany us to feel like not only being with tour service, but like being with a distant relatives^^. Our visit to Seoul are really treasured well with his help, and we hope him the best for his family too! Hopefully in the future we can visit Seoul again. Don't forget us Mr. Jay, take care and always have a good time, especially with your family because you help our family enjoy our time in Seoul^^

Our booking experience with 'This is Korea' was fuss free and professional. Luke, our assigned TS took good care of our family of 8 comprising elderly folks and young children during our 3-day guided tour in Seoul (Nov 14).

Though it's not the first time I brought the whole family on travel, it's for once I don't have to be the de-facto tour coordinator and leave everything to the good hands of Luke. The elders whom were not easy to please were impressed with Luke's recommendation of the affordable local food restaurants and the details he went into to ensure that the group was comfortable and well take care of, especially the children.

My children have developed an affinity for Luke in such a short time that surprised me myself. They enjoyed chatting with Luke and missed him a lot even after we ended the guided tour.

I am thankful that Luke is a skilful and safe driver which to me, is of utmost importance; and seeing that he got along so well with the kids gave me a much needed break even if it was for a temporary moment.

Thank you Luke, and your colleagues behind the scenes, for making the entire process of travelling in South Korea a much more enjoyable and memorable one.

You are welcome to visit us in Singapore and we will gladly treat you to our best local Singaporean foods!
