We love the hotel location, so close to Myeongdong, Namdaemun and walking distance to Gyeongbok Palace, Cheongyeon stream, etc. Many restaurants around the hotel area just behind the street and there's 7-11 (24hrs store) just right outside the hotel cafe. It is worth the price for the spacious room that comes with King Size bed and bathtub. Thou toilet a bit small, its still worth the price we are paying. Close to City Hall station (interchange to most attractions such as Hongik, Sinchon Uni, Noryanjin Fish market, Yongsan Spa). To reach the hotel, exit 7.

Highly recommended hotel!

Room Tip: Double Deluxe room is very spacious and higher floors.

I enjoyed my stay with this hotel as it is located to major shopping areas and also easily accessible to public transportation, subway station is just 3 minutes walk away. Also there are some local restaurants just in front of the hotel and they serves good quality local delicacies. The surrounding area is also very quiet at night, no major noise pollution. Fast check-in and out. Staffs can speak both English and Mandarin, friendly and know their way around Seoul for free-and-easy travelers like me.

LOCATION
This hotel is very centrally located. The airport bus stop is an easy 3 minute walk (perhaps 200m?) away at The Plaza hotel, which is pretty much right opposite Hotel Aropa. City Hall subway station is a little further away, about a 5-7 minute walk. The Myeongdong main shopping streets are about a 10-15 minute walk away, and this is easily accessible either by walking overland (you can make a detour to the Shinsegae department store if so) or you can walk through the Sogong Underground Mall. The nearest exit to the hotel from the Sogong Underground Mall is Exit 4. The entrance to the Underground Mall on the Myeongdong side is at Noon Shopping Mall. Needless to say this also means that you can walk to the Myeongdong subway station, so this hotel provides connectivity to 3 subway lines (2 at City Hall, which is an interchange, and 1 at Myeongdong). From City Hall it's just 1 stop to Seoul station, where the airport lines, Lotte Outlets and Lotte Mart are. From Myeongdong station it's just 3 or 4 stops down to Dongdaemun. There is a 24h 7 Eleven 30m from the hotel, as well as a Caffe Bene very nearby. There is also a bossam restaurant that seems to be fairly popular with the local crowd 10m from the hotel, and a many other restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel is probably best described as being in a quiet island in the middle of a restaurant area.

STAFF
Very polite and helpful, willing to help you check things that you don't know. They all speak good English.

ROOMS
Rooms are clean and spacious. We easily fit our 2 oversized luggages into the space between the beds and the table with room to spare. The toilet is a little small but hey it's Seoul. Beds are very comfortable. Our room had 1 window that faced the "main street" where the restaurants were, but the noise was not too bad. We slept well. Air-conditioning was disabled as it was autumn, but this was a not a problem as we just opened the windows for ventilation. Hairdryer and kettle provided.

FACILITIES
The hotel has a cafe and a men-only sauna, both of which we did not try.

All in all it's great value for money. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I'm in Seoul!

This hotel is a great value, very close to a major subway station in a great neighborhood with tons of restaurants. The staff is helpful, and professional. The room is great and clean, although the glass walled bathroom offers little privacy. Comfy bed room all around. There is a "Men's sauna" in the hotel, which is not what one might think, but it's a clean, nice, open air, bath, hot tub, and sauna complex (for men only, yes), where locals go. Worth a shot if you like asian (Japanese-like) hot baths. Definitely recommend the Aropa !

Room Tip: Try the "sauna" for a nice, relaxing, evening bath "Japanese-style" !

We stayed at the beginning of our holiday in S.Korea and then booked for our end of holiday time as well, as it was a good find. Great location and close to the sub-way (one stop away from Seoul station). It is easy to get to (City Hall, exit 7 and short walk). Very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is buffet style with Western and Korean food. Good restaurants opposite for evening meals. A good choice if you are having a few days of sightseeing in Seoul. So near various palaces, art gallery. Namdaemun market and the 'stream'. You can leave luggage in their baggage room after check out, if your flight is not until late in the evening. This is helpful as storage lockers for larger cases are in short supply in Seoul station, and it is easy to sight see and then go back later in the day to collect your things. We will use it again if we go back to S. Korea.

Stayed for 2 nights on 1st week of September. Value for money. Pleasant and helpful staff. Room is comfortable and clean. Can easily find a seat during breakfast which is important since I need to rush off for work. Close to Namdaemun market which makes it convenient for me to do some last minute shopping. Will definitely stay here on my next visit.

Stayed for two nights at the end of August 2013. Very clean, all very new I think. The bathroom was lovely. The bath was a little small for a 6'2" frame but easy to squeeze in when you have only had showers for several days. No complimentary shampoo supplied, this is charged but they do supply body was wish was adequate for hair washing. Very close to the City Hall and the bus stop to Incheon Airport at the back of the Plaza Hotel. Close to Namdaemun Market too.
