“There is a PSY bear))))”
Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

If you go to the N-Tower of Seoul make sure you'll visit the Teddy bear museum. Even if you don't go to the tower, it's worth to go and your age doesn't really matter.
There is an exhibition hall with different Teddy Bears, all if them are so cute that's why all the visitors keep smiling on their way)))
Some bears dance, some sing, some built the houses and there is even a wedding ceremony if the teddy bears. And the purl of the collection for those who like taking pictures is the PSY bear which is near the exit!!!!

“Interesting and Cute!!”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

We find the bear museum interesting and cute. The museum were split up into museum 1 and 2, displaying the south korean history, culture and the various districts of seoul. The bears were dressed in different costumes and were in different pose, eg bears making kimchii, riding horses, in a market or typical ceremonial scene, etc.

My girl enjoyed seeing the bears while she learned about the history and culture of South Korea. And of course, we took lots of pictures here. Great place for kids!

“Cute but not an essential visit when in the N Seoul Tower”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Visited the Teddy Bear Museum in combination with the Observatory. On its own, a visit to this museum costs KRW8000 (~USD7.30), which is definitely pricey for the experience had here. Note that when purchasing this package, visitors must head to the museum first and the observatory last. This should be considered when planning to visit the observatory before sunset for those keen to get day and night time views of Seoul. You just might miss the daytime views of the city if you have to go in the teddy bear museum first.

The museum is split in 2 areas. The 1st one next to the Observatory entrance first explains why bears are well-regarded in South Korea. This then quickly gives way to many dioramas offering snapshots of South Korean history, using teddy bears in costume and in various poses. The 2nd part of the museum illustrates the districts of Seoul and culture of South Koreans. Between presentations are life-size teddy bears.

While seeing dioramas of a teddy bear army or teddy bears making kimchi are cute, did not find the museum particularly impressive. The bears used in the dioramas are largely similar and just dressed up differently. Occasionally there is accompanying music and some bears move, but their movement is limited, except for one street-dancing in Museum 2. Most enjoyed part is the display of teddy bears from the early 1900s.

Overall did not think the Teddy Bear Museum had enough to offer besides the cute factor. Thought the bears in the souvenir shop were cuter though! For parents, this might be entertaining enough to keep the kids occupied for 30 minutes to an hour.
