“Comfortable Triple”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

Having stayed all over Seoul while on work travel I was inetrested in staying somewher emore budget friendly while traveling on my own dime. The Aventree is (as has been noted before) perfectl;y located just a few blocks from the "tourist heart" of Seoul. The rooms are comfortable and they even had a reasonably priced triple, great for my family. There is a handy little coffee shop attached for a quick breakfast. But the staff proved hit or miss. Positive: I was looking for my favourite Korean junk food and asked for a reccomendation, the lady at the desk was kind enough to order and have it delivered. Negative: When we were checking out at 5am on December 18 with 2 kids, 6 suitcases, a stroller and trying to get to the bus on time, I left our key in the room...the guy at the desk cursed in Korean (my wife speaks Korean) and made nasty faces at us. The keys are simple cards and from experience at many hotels EXTREMELY easy to reproduce/reprogram. Why the need for the nastiness? Not sure. Just shows the hit or miss quality of 3 star hotel staff.

A good value hotel in a great location. It is very easy to get to from the airport, taking bus 6005 for 15,000 won to the final stop, which is right outside the hotel. Insadong is one block out from the back door, full of restaurants, tea shops etc. Even better, 3 or 4 doors to the right when you leave the hotel is the bhuddist centre, complete with vegetarian cafe serving an amazing lunch buffet of six dishes plus soup and rice for 8,000 won! The historic area of Seoul is an easy ten minute walk away, well worth a look and adding to the benefits of this great location.

Besides the great location, close to the palaces and many other attractions like shrines, Insa-dong, and Myeong-dong shopping, this hotel offers comfortable and clean rooms. The shower was just fantastic. The room was quite small but just big enough if you have two big suitcases. Incheon Airport limousine stop is right in front if the hotel (costs 15000 won). The only thing I didn't like too much about the room was that it was very hot. It was impossible to get the temperature down, even after turning the heater off. Reception recommended to open the window... Anyway I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Arriving in Korea for the first time? want to make it easy on yourself? Hotel Aventree is the answer.
Get off the plane, do the security thing then head to floor one and find the orange bus booths. A ticket on bus 6005 will leave directly outside the hotel about 60 90 minutes later traffic dependant. The hotel itself is straightforward, helpful staff, small but clean and. Warm rooms, the usual fascinations with electronic bidet etc etc. nothing special, but out the back door past the 7 11 and you are in Insadong for a great feed. There is a gym haha, but you can do floor work and bike or run on treadmills. Again, not flash but for the price it's fine. And when you have to head back into the hell of long haul, the bus awaits just outside. It's the Aventree and it's easy.

Fantastic Location - Insadong thru the back door - many restaurants and shops. 7 Eleven and cafe on Lobby Floor. Airport shuttle Bus 6005 stops right at hotel front door ( cost 15,000 won and took about 1.5 hrs. So dont take taxi). Bears Town ski resort about one hr away. Free shuttle bus stop is 5 mins walk at Jonggak station. Very convenient for ski day trip. Paid for ski, lift and ski suit rental with credit card and get 30% discount! Lotte Dept Mall 10 mins walk south. Palace is 10 mins walk north. Room clean, reasonable size and heating works well. Staff helpful. Booked online AUD 130 per night room has 1 double and 1 single bed. Will stay there again.

This place is very ideal if it is your first time going to Seoul like we did as a family.it is within 12 mins from the Seoul train station (by taxi).but if you like, you can walk.

This hotel is at the heart of the city and almost everything can be reached by just walking around

There is a bus stop at the front of the hotel that goes to many tourist place.the route is easy to understand.

Of if you like to ride the taxi, most of the places can be reached under 6000 Won.and the taxi drivers use GPS so they are very honest.

The hotel is perfect for the budget.we got ours at a promo for 50% off! Around 104USD.

The room has a king size bed and a single bed.the bathroom had electronic bidet and heater, yey!Hot water is available.the inhouse shampoo, bath gel,and conditioner are good.the room is very clean and warm (we went there during winter)

The carpet has stain but is clean (because some users does not know to remove the shoes)

The breakfast and dinner is a bit expensive and they are almost the same.but you dont have to worry about food because there are a lot of restaurants outside!you have a pick of fine dining, fast food, traditional (family owned) restaurants, and even street food.

The staff is very helpful.they can speak good english and they showed us the places to go nearby

One such place is the Palace that is 10 mins away from the hotel.it will take 1/2 day just to see all that is inside plus the folk museum

There is also a bustling night market near the rear entrance of the hotel.it is at the middle of that street, your landmark is a big urban building (Sam Sip Gil) filled with kiosks (it has grafitti inside so it is nice for urban photography).that place is perfect for teenagers.the smaller streets are fun to explore because they have more stores and the family owned restaurants.

For the lovers, there is a bridge, again walking distance from the hotel (going left once you exit te main entrance),that i call a lovers lane.couples go there because of the peaceful atmosphere.there is also a photo gallery one one bank.

Again for the lovers, there is the Namsan tower with cable car.the whole place is a lovers theme.i wont spoil it for you.just go and explore!

For the shoppers, there is the Lotte Department store filled with top brands and duty free shops

All in all,the hotel is very ideal for budget travellers like use.we highly recommend it.just wait for promos and you are good to go!have fun!

I stayed in the Aventree last week, its in an excellent location, close to subway station, and even has a airport bus stop outside the hotel. It is also close to the Insadong art and cafe street, which is great for a quick tea/coffee and shopping. The room was good, clean and big, and well equipped to deal with the cold. Though I was very disappointed with the wifi connection, it just wasn't strong enough. I had better luck using my phone as a hotspot. This is strange as I've previously had excellent internet connections in other Seoul hotels. The only other issue I had, which isn't a big deal, but was that the reception staff weren't very courteous. They were least bothered to deal with a check-in, and were rather chatting about god knows what. Not a big deal, but can be improved. The hotel also has a small tea cafe in the ground floor, which is grt for breakfast.
