Owner description: "A talented troupe of Korean performers treats Cookin' audience to a taste of Culinary lunacy-sliced and diced to percussive perfection." - Playbill, Minetta Lane Theater - NANTA premiered in 1997 and is the longest running show in Korean history. This electrifying 90-min show, on the comically-charged efforts of four cooks who are tasked with preparing an entire wedding banquet in just one hour, is one of Korea's most popular musicals of all time. Since its first performance, this world famous non-verbal performance made a record of 20% above full capacity at the theater driving the largest number of audience in Korean history.

I saw it twice and thoroughly enjoyed it in both occasions. This time, the scenario was slightly different from the last one. The performers were very skilful and each one showed great personality. I would see it again.

“This is a Fantastic Show - Don't Miss It!”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

The show is excellent! It is very professional, entertaining, vibrant and full of variety. Book online in advance and you get to pick your seat and will be given a 15% foreigner discount. We sat in the front row, on the second level, in the middle, seats 8,9 & 10 and had a perfect view of the show. The best seats in the auditorium. If you want to be involved in the action of the show, which has audience participation, then sit on the 1st floor. There are only 5 performers, but their talent, skills and energy are amazing. I have seen shows in NY on Broadway & shows in Las Vegas and this show is up there with the best! You will have fun seeing this show.

“Average percussion show”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

We were advised to visit this show. It turned out to be a percussion show. Al together it was not too bad, but they used the same riff over and over again and to me (musician) it all sounded very simple and uninteresting. Having seen other percussion acts that demonstrated much more creativity, and way more synchronicity (key for percussion), all that was left was an unsatisfying feel.

“Very funny”

Worth a visit, it was very entertaining and great fun. Be careful if you sit on the end of the aisles, you may well end up helping out!

“should not be missed while in seoul korea”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

i like the way they improvised creation of music through the use of kitchen instruments, and how they communicate in a usually non verbal approach , i have a mixed feeling about audience participation which is part of the program
