Lotte World is a lot of fun. There is an outside and inside portion. The queues can be long, but Atlantis is definitely worth the wait. Best ride ever!
Just so you know, there is a birthday discount. I think it has to be within a month of your birthday. If you show ID to prove it, you can get the discount. My friend did that for us. :)

Iv already been to Lotte World twice this year..

It's 1 of the reasons why I want to come back to Seoul more!

The Theme Park itself has an outdoor & an indoor area with thrill rides..

What sells it for me is the "Foreigner Discount" ... you end up saving around 5000 won each & they even gave us free beer coupons for the outdoor cafe! where we proceeded to get free chips from a lady sitting right next to us!!

It was AWESOME!!

Lotte World is another of the top ten attractions in Seoul for kids of all ages from 1 to 92 as the lyric states. But even if you are pushing 93, you can still come as this venue provides lots of places to rest in between rides and loads of restaurants and other eateries. Plan on spending at least the greater part of a day to take it all in and the best way to maximize your ticket price is to cue up at the opening time and stay until the lights are turned off after the wonderful parades that take place every so often. Mny theatrical presentations are also available of you are not a big fan of the Vicking boat, of the French Revolution roller coaster, or the Big Drop on the outseide, weather permitting. The monrail is nice and slow ad the Korean Folk Museum is both entertaining and educational. Recommended for all ages.

Took 12 year grandson who LOVED it. Unfortunately was a Sunday and as the afternoon progressed the queues got very long so he missed out on some rides, but still said it was the best day he had ever had.

We last visited Lotte World more than 10 yrs ago and now, on first impression,
nothing much has changed, the rides and decor looked a bit stale and the air smelt
musky. Characters looked a bit funny as they are not the usual disney characters but
yet, this Park 'cos its indoor is all weather miniaturised copy of Disneyland.

Food options here are mainly limited to fast food kind so don't expect much.

But the best find here (separate charges apply) was Porroro Park (of the popular
korean-invented cartoon character Porroro and friends. If you have a toddler or
infant, this newly opened place is a haven. As they are shut out of most of the
rides in Lotte World proper, here they can to prance about with walking Porroro and
friends, bouncy castles, bump bump cars, kids ferris wheel, snow castle building,
mini-train etc, enough to keep them entertained for at least 2 hours. And the
parents can have a much deserved break at the cafe and yet continue to keep a watch
over the little tots playing in the enclosed park. What an original and refreshing
idea, a dedicated little tots area. Just then, it made a visit worthwhile.

We came on a weekday intentionally as the weekend crowds (being in the heart of
Seoul and easily accessible) are notorious. On this weekday, the queues were very
short as we didn't have to wait more than 5 mins for any ride. But some of the rides
need a separate charge which was a bit off-putting after a while,,,,so we added up
all the charges and each kid came up to more than usd40,,,,they shld just charge a
flat all-inclusive fee and have more food options. Nevertheless the crowds start to
thin out around 4pm (and the outside jams start at 5-6pm), so the strategy should be
to come after lunch on a weekday, stay till 7pm (enjoy all the rides multiple times
without queuing) and then have a good dinner (multiple choices of good and proper
food restaurants) at the Lotte Hotel complex (attached but once u get out of Lotte
World to the hotel, you cannot come back in again) and don't fight the outside jam.
That would make for a great day for the kids and adults! Some of the better rides
were the Air balloon and the mirror maze. The kids loved the Froggie, the Jumping
Fish and Kidstoria (can spend an hour just in this fairy-tale section alone).

The Halloween show at 5pm was quite fun though we didn't understand korean but the
kids liked the show.

The gift shops were a money-saving grace for foreigners as all the characters were
alien to us and so, weren't tempting to the little tots at all.
