“Very classy place, a bit pricey but well worth it.”
Reviewed August 19, 2011

Wow, very classy and luxorious hotel. The lobby was huge (several stories high) and the service at the reception was exemplary. Location is a bit remote, but just a bit. Only a 10 minutes walk to the nearest subway station. Hotel is located right besides the Namsan hill/mountain(where the Seoul Tower N resides for example). Great views!
Arrived very early and still I was able to get the room (at 11:00 a.m.) with no extra cost for early check-in.

Rooms were big at Korean standards and very clean. Service staff were very attentive and they would have cleaned the whole room every day if I have given them the opportunity to do so. Hotel has eight(!) different restaurants, so no need to fear for starvation... also free fitness center. Breakfast had so many varietiesto choose from...one of the biggest what I have seen. Very well done!

Like you can imagine the price was a bit hefty, but it can be expected from Hilton (at this location). WiFi wasn't free either and were at Hilton prices (something about ~18eur/24h), this was to be expected.

All in all money was worth it and I definitely would stay here again, given the opportunity.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor from THE PARK SIDE of the building. Wonderful views!

I've stayed at the Seoul Hilton on every trip to Seoul since 1997...minimum of twice per year. Last visit met all my expectations - efficient check-in experience, high quality room, outstanding restaurants. Location is very convienent to downtown, Itaewon shopping and nightlife, sightseeing at Namsan park. Seoul is a vibrant city and the Hilton is a great base to explore it from.

It isn't cheap...although not expensive compared to other 5-stars in Seoul. The hotel has a long history with the American community (military and business) in Seoul, so language and service are not issues. I stay on the executive floor - service, breakfast, evening cocktails are well worth the extra charge.

Only issue I've ever had with the hotel is lack of a decent nightclub. Appears they've given up and gone with a casino since 2009 (?). Not a big deal - the Hyatt and itaewon are close by if you are looking for evening entertainment.

We stayed at this hotel for 14 days. It is expensive but we paid for it through Hilton Honors Points. The room was great. We had a bottle of wine and some fruit when we arrived. The breaks at the executive lounge were fantastic and the over all service of the staff was great. It was conveniently located near two different subway stations. There was a convenient limousine bus that goes from the hotel to the airport when you are ready to leave. All in all, we'd stay here again.

I was on a business trip early December 2010 and stayed at the Seoul Hilton between 6th to the 9th.

The Hilton, Seoul is well located and is within the main city area of Seoul. Being so located it has just about enough of land to have a atll building within it, so no sprawling lawns for you to take leisurely walks (as would be expected from any city centric business hotel).

The check in procedure I found, was rather confusing. Although the front desk at the ground floor knew of my booking, I was sent to the 19th floor (or was it 20th?!?) to do the check in. This despite there being no customers waiting to be attended. I thought this was rather strange.

The rooms by themselves are rather small (much smaller than the ones in India one generally gets). Another facet was that the room was very dimly lit. At night one always got the feeling that another light would have been very welcome. However, what I found most preposterous about the hotel was that in the month of December, the inside of the hotel was stuffy and so was the room. I needed to put the a/c on all the time I was there because otherwise one feels stuffy and actually hot! It is amazing that outside there is snow, and none of that good cool climate can be made use of to prevent customers needing the a/c in their rooms ! The food at breakfasts was repetitive and consisted mostly of croissants, cakes and muffins and bacon with eggs. Wouldhave liked to see greater variety, at least from a Hilton.

On the positive side, the location was great from the perspective of shopping at night. There was a great shopping area called ‘Insadong’ which had cheap good traditional Korean stuff; and the best thing was that it opened at night and stayed open till the wee hours. Even in a day full of meetings,
Other than this the Christmas atmosphere that they had maintained in the hotel was great. The Christmas tree and accompanying decorations of gifts and a little area dedicated to Santa, complete with his house, reindeers etc was quite exceptional.

My wife and I take "in-country" vacations at least once a year, and usually we treat ourselves to a couple of night at the Millennium. The food is great. We always enjoy their pool and recreation facilities. The hotel is walking distance from the downtown train station as well as some major markets.
We love Seoul and Korea, and the Millennium reminds us of the all the best things about the country.

This is one of the more dated Hilton properties that I've stayed in - a shame as I found the staff that I dealt with helpful, courteous and professional. In terms of the room, I wasn't able to stay on the Executive floor as these were being refurbished. The one I ended up in was old and dated - the iron leaked, the TV looked like it was from the 80's, and the room felt like it needed a thorough clean. The lighting wasn't practical, a useable plug was hard to find, and they offered those horrible re-useable slippers that I can't imagine anyone in their right mind would touch. On the plus side, the room was quiet and the hotel was convenient in terms of location. The fruit and chocolate in the room were a nice touch, although unfortunately the fruit was over-ripe. Thankfully I only stayed one night, but I would expect a vast improvement in the room quality before recommending to anyone else.
