Don't get me wrong. This is a great/luxury hotel. But, for the price you pay, it can be improved. For example, giving free internet access. I have stayed in other Seoul hotels as a tourist and they were cheap, clean, comfortable and with free internet. So, I would only recommend this hotel if you go for business and the location and other amenities are a must.

Nicely refurbished rooms; clean; service is good; few english language tv stations; very old equipment in the gym; restaurants and room service are way too expensive!!

Ask for the side lookout to NanShan direction, it is more romantic.
The room set up is very modernized with the bathtube facing the street side.
Attendants speak good English.

This is the second time I stay at this hotel. The first time was in June 2009. The hotel is everything you need and expect from a 5-star hotel and than a bit more. They are clearly driven to stay the best hotel in Korea by continously improving and attention to evry detail on the service level. Normal rooms are about EUR 200. The club rooms are about EUR 300 for a 2-room suite (Junior Suite Double - Club - Main Building), but worth it if you plan to use the hotel facilities: all included are meeting rooms, lounges, separate breakfast floor, express check-in and the great spa (big gym, indoor pool, sauna). The hotel is very centrally located with business, tourism, shopping, bars, restaurants all at walking distance. If you need to go further, the subway is right next to the hotel.

I stayed at Lotte Seoul for a week on a business trip, at time to ckin my reservation was missed however reception personal make thos extra minutes waiting very pleaseant and everything was fine, rooms are confortable for first time i got a room in floor 24 later i got an upgrade to floor 34 ( only suites) for my perspective a standard room was better than suite...
breakfast is buffet but the same everyday, people at hotel is very friendly they dont speak english very well but they try to do all the best!.
Definitley i recommed this hotel for business tripo and also oliday due to a very good location close to Myongdeong!

Room tip: ask for a room on highest floor at the new wing
