This is a nice hotel where the staff works to fulfill any request you may have. Not centrally located but it is an easy walk too the subway or you can take their free shuttle bus. The wallk isn't bad to the Hongji station. You will need to change trains to get to the old arrea where all the vendors are sellingg everything. I found that the vendors were not as open to haggling as in Shanghai and other places.
You can walk down the hill from the hotel or their bus will take you down the hill to the airport shuttle bus (not affiliated with the hotel). The ride was maybe $15 US to the airport.
There are actually vendors near tthe subway station and across the street at least on Saturday. It is fun to walk the alleys.
Take Koren currency for the subway as we didn't find many attendants or credit card, although there were some.
It seemed that several airline crews stay at this hotel.
Last, it has a really large indoor pool that is nice.

Room Tip: They definitely give a better room based upon your hilton status.

Very spacious room, Nice staff, great bathroom (toiletseat!), but not too centrally located. The hotel tries to make up for that by providing free hourly transportation to the subway and to the center of town.
Great buffet with lot of choices, but too expensive.
When do hotels finally realize that free WiFi should be standard? We have been to smaller hotels that had excellent free service but obviously Hilton still wants to milk their guests.

the grand hilton's service is very good. room condition and service etc. is so much. but the hotel's location is so far from cityhall of seoul. restaurant's food is so fresh and cool. in korea, the grand hilton hotel, the value is so high, and the guest service is the level. i'm so satisfaction of service and roon condition, food, and fresh air. spa service is good, too.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Dec 13. The hotel itself is okay but expensive for what it is. Room itself was clean and relatively spacious and our room had a nice view of the mountain behind the hotel. However, the location of the hotel is its downfall and is far from ideal if you are new to Seoul and want to do sightseeing, etc. The hotel is in a residential suburb and there is nothing much around. Public transport is also not readily accessible from here. It is attached to a convention centre so it's designed for people to stay when they are attending a conference there. There is nothing special about this hotel that would justify staying this far from the main centre of the town at this price. Even though I didn't give Lotte Hotel in Myungdong the highest ratings (reviewed previously on Tripadvisor), I would still rather stay at Lotte Hotel again or a at least a hotel around there.

What I like about chainhotels, is that you know ( most of the time) what to expect and you usually get it! Same thing for Hilton hotels and in this particular case: even more...
The rooms are spacious, modern, homy and very comfortable.
Check out the toilet!!!!! I guess the expression: " sitting on the Throne!" Does apply entirely for this one!
Great service from the entire staff, helpful and friendly.
Restaurants ( a bit pricey for me), but the variety and quality is amazing!
Loved the seafood buffet!!!
Locationwise: just 15 minutes by shuttle ( hourly) to the city with several stops!
Good gym and fyor the fittest amongst you, I would say; climb/run up the mountain behind the hotel and run along the path. Great view of the city.
If you like longer runs, you can run almost entirely covered following the highway above you for several miles to the river. No traffic just for pedestrians and bikers.

We got better treatment at a much less expensive Comfort Inn in Denver before we began our trip to Seoul. We loved the Marriott where we stayed the first 7 nights of our trip for location, service, and room quality.

The accessibility of the hotel was very poor. In addition, there is no convenient store in the hotel, thus customers had no other choice than using the hotel mini-bar even when they are trying to buy a bottle of water. Lastly, they do not provide a good selection of TV channels, therefore, a couple major broadcasting channels in Korea were unavailable. I think the hotel price and rate are quite overated.
