Went there on a business trip
Great hotel in a tranquil setting,Friendly staff, buffet breakfast options limited but of excellent quality, nice big rooms with great toiletries , shuttle bus to downtown, close to the night markets; good conference facilities, state of the art LCD displays on huge flat screens- this the home of Samsung after all !

Stayed two weeks in this hotel on a business trip in 2009.
It is expensive, but very recommended. Koreans are very polite in general, but in this hotel it is extreme .
Nice hotel, nice gym, nice bar (Rainbow, life music Fridays etc), there is golf course near by, nice sauna .
Awesome breakfast – very European (after one week you will miss it) , fresh salmon, sausages .
It is a very, very nice hotel .

Hotel with it's own territory on a hill. Close to subway station (down the stairs and cross the street), plus all cab drivers knew the place. Had a corner number on one of upper floors. Spacious room with all the necessary amenities. Lot's of helpful staff will walk you right where you want. All the business papers available in the morning. Breakfast is exceptional - from European to local cuisine. Will definitely stay again.

I've stayed here before when in Seoul on business and the hotel has a lot going for it.

The location is excellent being in the centre of town and the hotel itself is well maintained, very clean and smart, As are the rooms, but they are a little on the small side. The staff could not do more for you and the breakfast is one of the best in Asia,

However, the hotel is very expensive and in terms of value for money there are other hotels in Seoul that offer the same level for less money

My boy-friend brought me here by surprise for our 2nd year Anniversary, and it was splendid. The pool was definitely the best part. On a hot and humid day in Seoul, there was nothing better than to swim in Shilla's big, beautiful pooll. We must have spent half a day swimming! The room of course was clean, and had everything you would expect from a high-end hotel.

Service was alright. Had some packages which were supposed to arrive promptly that day but it was late since they had not moved them forward in time. Long wait and was late for meeting, but no courtesy assistance getting to my meeting right next door and it was snowing heavily that nigh. Rooms are plain, and needs some freshening up. Nice cushioned slippers. Internet appears to work fine- good wifi. Executive floor attendant very helpful, when he was available.

The breakfast food is light and meager - not memorable at all. Little selection. Stayed in the executive lounge... very small and limited food, limited breakfast. Juices are bottled variety, not fresh but from those liter bottles. Poor fruit selection. Good meeting room services - that was great as it was set off to the side and private, with a small restroom available to the side. No drinks laid out, no water bottles. Feels like they are trying to save as much money as possible at every turn.

Stayed in executive room, no personalization, no fruit, no attempt to make special. Bed was comfortable, and room nice temperature. Bathroom OK size and clean.

Difficult to get to since it's on a hill from the subway. Definitely use taxi and take subway when you don't have to drag a load around.

Room Tip: Call in advance if you want a specific kind of room.
