Owner description: "A talented troupe of Korean performers treats Cookin' audience to a taste of Culinary lunacy-sliced and diced to percussive perfection." - Playbill, Minetta Lane Theatre-NANTA premiered in 1997 and is the longest running show in Korean history. This electrifying 90-min show, on the comically-charged efforts of four cooks who are tasked with preparing an entire wedding banquet in just one hour, is one of Korea's most popular musicals of all time. Since its first performance, this world famous non-verbal performance made a record of 20% above full capacity at the theatre driving the largest number of audience in Korean history.

A great show that is both entertaining and fascinating even if you don't speak a word of Korean. Well worth watching

“Spectacular!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

I was taken her on a group field trip. We came to see the Nanta "Cooking Show". Honestly, I was worried it was going to be really cheesy and that I would be bored. However, it was a funny, loud, exciting performance. The basic plot of this musical comedy performance is that a kitchen staff has an hour to make the main dinner of the night at a restaurant. Then, the bumbling nephew of the restaurant owner is thrown in with the cooks, and he keeps messing them up. The performers danced and drummed and acted. They were banging pots and pans, chopping carrots and onions and garlic... they were making music out of cooking! You don't need to know Korean to understand the show and have a laugh. I recommend this performance, to anyone, from young children to adults!

“Super fun for the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

If you visits Seoul and have time/plan to see one show, Nanta is the one, especially if you are with family and kids. You don't need know Korean language at all to enjoy the show, and it is not in any way frightening or scary that small kids may not like it.
The performance is great, although the story line is kinda cheesy but I don't think anyone will actually care...
Btw, if you have friends in Korea, ask them to call and buy the tickets for you. They sometimes have special ticket/price not published in the web site and you have to call and ask for it.

Loved the dancing, percussion performance and how they interacted with the audience.

Both children and adults loved it.
