Hotel staff -- nice and helpful

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 28, 2012
nice staff, even they cant speak fluent english, but try very best to help, my experience was a typhoon launched in Seoul and Jeju on 17 Sept. all flight cancelled at the morning, staff try very hard to call air line and airport adm. to let me know the latest status. Very impressed. Subway may a bit far from hotel (need to walk 10 min) but the way to subway has many traditional korean restaurant, reasonable price and many local people dining there.

Stayed for 4 nights in July 2012. Hotel is far from Seoul downtown. 2 bus stops from hotel to nearest subway station (Janghanpyeong sat.) and 9 subway station to downtown. It take 20 minutes and 1050 won (same as downtown travel). Airport bus #6013 stop (Kyungnam hotel) only 100m away and easy to walk. It take 75-90 minute from airport to hotel.

The room is very clean and big enough than any hotel in downtown. Staffs clean and change towel daily so I am very happy when go back to hotel. There are simple breakfast in lobby such as bread, tomato, popcorn, fruit juice and coffee machine. You can eat them as much as you want. There are many restaurants and coffee bar near hotel.

Only one girl staff can speak english well and very informative. If you go to Korea with well preparation it will not problem.

I love this hotel even far from downtown but Seoul subway is so good easy to travel everywhere. Recommended.

Nice hotel, bit far out from the main tourist area but subway is only a 10 min walk away and is super easy to use. free popcorn is a nice bonus. On the downside there is only 1English tv channel and there are computers in the room but it would be nice if they had wifi . The breakfast is basic but enough if u need something before u go sightseeing or shopping. overall great value for a last minute booking.

Brand new boutique establishment, one of a row of love hotels catering to those looking for a discreet late night fling. Its location is a little out of the way, and the occasional sighting of a 'public service' lady and her middle aged male companion may shock the less openminded traveller. It is otherwise super clean, quiet (windows are double glazed, so minimal traffic or street noise - we were on floor 6 of 7), and the staff are helpful and friendly despite only a little English. The room service staff are great too, cleaning the room daily and restocking everything. All amenities are provided, such as instant coffee, tea, kettle, mugs, biscuits, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, skin toner and moisturiser, brushes, combs, toothpaste (not toothbrush), hair gel, hair dryer, slippers, robes, towels, spa bath, bidet, huge plasma TV, vanity with mirror, small bar fridge and two PCs for internet access. Rooms are spacious and beds are big though firm. Bathroom (in the deluxe room) is very spacious. Also provided is constant access to the foyer treats such as bottled water, canned tangerine juice, lollies, a slushie machine, an ice cream machine, a popcorn machine and a coffee machine. A constant supply of hydration and energy - heaven!
Downsides to consider include tiles throughout the room with no rugs, so vocal folk will need to make use of the double doors (leave your shoes just inside the main door) to avoid escape of noise into the corridors. The trip from the airport (bus 6013 from arrivals hall between gates 5 and 6; 10000 won) will take just over an hour - stop after the bus turns into Jangan road from Janganpyeong metro station. Taxis from downtown Seoul (Jongno area) will cost about 7-8000 won. Unfortunately the room aircon is a little noisy, and the breakfast is nothing special. It's delivered to the room between 8.30 and 9am, consisting of jam sandwiches, juice and a carton of milk. Not really a drama as there are heaps of little eateries in the area with good food at great prices.
Conclusion: for about USD$80 (zuji package deal) a night, this is as good as you can get. Only for those who are openminded, though! Had a great stay with family.

Room tip: Rooms not facing the main road are quieter
