“Baie Lekker!”

The food is delicious and authentic. You must try the pap and boerewors with an extra lamb chop! The owner is amiable and passionate about South African cuisine. A must-try! An unique experience in Korea. 맛있었어요.

“Good food, Cozy atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

This small restaurant was my first experience with South African food, and I have to admit I'm just not that big of a fan. The meat was all fairly dry, (we tried the boerewors, bangers, and lamb) and found all of it on the tougher and drier side. The sides are very good and sweet potato was our favorite, and prices are average for what you get. Prices were not that great for the set menus ~W20,000 each and our bottle of good red wine cost W28,000 which is a little high for comparable restaurants. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, and I was overall happy but not ecstatic with the experience.

“best lamb in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

this is a cozy and relatively small restaurant. nice atmosphere due to the African interior. the owner (african himself) was very friendly and helpful. Staff speaks very well english which is helpful of course.
the food was very nice. the lamb was outstanding the the prices absolutely okay.
I recommend to go there on tuesdays! lamb chops all you can eat for 15000 won! very good deal. furthermore, if you want wine do not get the expensive one but rather go for the house wine. good wine for a fair price.
you cannot smoke

“Lamb Chops par excellence”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

The Braai Republic has a cozy pub like atmosphere with a good selection of spirits. The menu has several good choices but the lamb chops are absolutely outstanding. The owner provides personalized service. Arrived late one night to find that the place was full but the owner was nice enough to take a phone number and call us in when a table became available just before the kitchen was closing. South African hospitality at it's best. If you are a fan of lamb chops you cannot go wrong with the Braai Republic.
