Owner description: The Trickeye Museum is "one of a kind" painting gallery, which combines art with hi-end technology - so-called AR (Augmented Reality) effect and 2D/3D illusions. Instead of merely viewing paintings (as in a typical art gallery), visitors can interact with the paintings using newly developed Trickeye Camera application to make pictures alive in order to be a part of the artwork and record it on video or make a picture. Moreover, there is the Ice Museum located in the Trickeye Museum, items in which are fully made out of ice such as iced TV, ice kitchen, ice slope etc. With one admission ticket you can enjoy both "Trickeye Museum" and "Ice Museum". To ensure that even its busiest customers have time to enjoy the fun, the museum stays open each day all around the year from 9 AM until 9 PM (last admission by 8 PM), making it a popular date and hang-out place. Outside of the main exhibition hall there is museum café, which exclusively serves Latte with Your picture from the phone on it.

We've done mistake by choosing to visit this place on weekend( around 4pm).. So maybe my review will less in favor for this museum

First, this museum is kinda tricky to find.. It's located at the basement of un-named building.. the only thing we know is that they hv one or two people standing outside the building beside "trick eye" standing advertisement.

second, Ticket price is 13k KRW , expensive? it depends.. if you like taking pictures and pose.. maybe 13k is worth it.. but if you don't.. better skip this place.one more thiing..family with young children is not advised oto visit..since the first section offers so many nude art...(cmiiw). This place also not a place for a Solo traveller..

third.. poor pictures arrangement, between one picture and another is sometimes too close with each other.. I mean.. you hv to wait until people go out of your way.. so you can take pictures at the right angle.. yes, they give point where you can take the best angle..but still..you just have to be patient telling people to step aside for a moment.

forth .. after you finished the first section, another is just complimentary.. nothing too interesting there..., we tried the illution table and chair.. but..that's it..

as if they want to make this museum interesting, they provide 'games' to spot 5 picture in a given paper , and stamp your zodiac sign. Price? you can only know after you play very simple dart game.. most of the time..the price is chocolate.

and to sum up, when you go out..you'll have to face the mirror maze..

don't forget..if you go out ( cashier table is the borderline)..you can't go back again.. sigh...

In total, I spend around 1hrs 20min , including queueing for taking pics..

but maybe if you wanna go there not in the weekend and pose in each pics.. you'll need to spend 3hrs..

Thank mbulss

This place is fantastic. Don't forget your camera. It was not crowded and took about an hour to get around the whole place. We followed the Government tourism websites directions and could not find the place. Take exit 9 of Hongik university station then ask at a local store. Definately worth a visit and a lot of fun. Don't go alone as you need a friend or two to take photos.

The trick eye museum is a great activity for a rainy, cold, or too sweltering afternoon. You could spend hours taking fun and candid photos. It is well executed and even includes explanations on how to to get the best and most amusing shots. That said, I think 13000 won is a bit much for what is offered.

I would mention it is not good for families with young children if they are against nudity. There is quite a bit of boobs! Nothing explicit, but some parents may not approve.

One of the best experiences ever. A definite must-go for anyone who loves taking pictures. It's nothing amazing but a totally fun and worth-while experience with friends who have no shame in taking tons of pictures and have laughs along the way.

The admission fee is a bit steep when you first see it but I feel it was definitely worth the price. I love that you can use your own camera and not have to spend for your pictures. I think they also change the pictures every now and then for new experiences.

Its a nice place, with a cheap entry fee. The setting and paintings are very good, altough there is room for improvement.
