I've stayed in camp dormitories which had more space per person than this room had. We had a 3 bedder which we were told was the only 3 bedder in the hotel. Based on the floor plan stuck on the back of the door, it is the same size as a 2 bedder. So small that the door had to open outwards, there's only space between the beds to walk in sideways (no space for a bedside table at all), and once you open your suitcase in front of your bed, you would not be able to pass through. We asked if there were other rooms and were told that there was none yet we overheard an upgrade being offered to 3 ladies who checked in whilst we were asking.
The electrical points on the walls were also so badly positioned that one could not be used and the other was under the table so all 3 of us had to share that one. We had to prop our chargers up with books and their tissue box. Complained and was promised an extension cord with multiple plugs later when we got back from dinner but there was a staff changeover and the new staff said they did not have such a thing. They came to our room and agreed that the electrical points were not working well. Gave us a different type of international plug which worked better but the attitude that we received was very rude.
Booked this hotel because we were told it is the same as Skypark Central (next door) but slightly older so if this is cheaper - book it. Our final night was at Skypark Central as this hotel was full and it was SO DIFFERENT! There was actually space in the 3 bedder for us to exercise if we wanted to. If the 3 bedders were so comfortable, I would imagine the 2 bedders to be too.
It is very disappointing that this hotel tried to push such a room onto us as a 3 bedder where there's barely enough space if it was a 2 bedder. The room opposite ours was huge! (we saw it when housekeeping was clearing it for the next guest). We understood that it was a deluxe room but seriously - it was 3x the size of our room and the price difference wasn't that much. If we had known, we would have booked that room for 2 and the 3rd person sleep on the sofa (yes there was space for a sofa - ours had one miserable chair which was crammed between the bed and narrow table). The management should relook into this. If you're unable to provide a proper sized room for your guests, you should just stick with 2 bedders instead of trying to earn an extra few bucks a night from very uncomfortable guests.
I must say though that the room was clean and things like the watercooler near the room and free coffee in the basement were very welcome.
Whilst the location is excellent, I would not stay at this hotel again given its misrepresentation of the rooms. Skypark Central is a much better hotel and I found it hard to believe they're all under the same management given the difference in the standards.
