“Will stay here again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

Located in yeungpong district, this hostel experience is like checking in a hotel, but paying only a rate of hostel. If you like to stay in a nice place while on tour in Seoul, better book your reservation here. They even give guests with bottled mineral water, so you don't have to buy which is really a big saving. They have 2 pantries with big refrigerators for guest use if they have food want to store or get bottled water. It is very clean, modern accomodation and the bathroom here is spacious and tidy. If you are a group of 4 persons, get a dormitory room good for 4, so that each only pays $20 instead of checking a room which only allows 2 persons per room. It is also near subway station, 2 big malls near the area and lotte mart where you can buy Korean goods as giveaway when coming back. Wifi service is available inside th room at no extra charge. This is the only place I want to check in again in Seoul.

Having never stayed at a hostel before,i didn't expect much. Surprisingly, this was a gleaming, modern structure with modern rooms and bathrooms, hair dryer, slippers, hot water maker, quiet , adequate heat and elevators. The uniformed staff were always patient, helpful and spoke excellent English, as did most young people on the street. Be forewarned though: they serve neither coffee nor tea in the restaurant. Bring instant, unless you want to pay 3 or 4 dollars in the Paris Baguette coffee shop, where a little chicken ceasar salad costs $5, whereas you can have a whole meal ( sitting on the floor ) for $6 around the corner.

Room Tip: Don't get a condo. There are no beds. You sleep on the floor

The hostel's building is beautiful, probably the most beautiful hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff speak English fairly well, compared to other natives. I didn't see that many other foreigners in the hostel, but hopefully my review will change that lol. They have a laundry room that is free to use, but there is no dryer and you must buy your own detergent. There is a cafe downstairs and a restaurant available for group reservations only. My only gripe with this place, and it may not be their fault, I could not tell if the bathroom was being cleaned daily. We got new towels every day (more like hand towels) but either other guests were really messy or they didn't do that good of a job cleaning up the bathrooms. Otherwise, the room was clean. It is not that close to city centre, but the train is just a few blocks away and I was happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of it all. You can get to the hostel via bus or train; train is much cheaper (like 5000 won cheaper) but it is more of a hastle because you have to walk a lot more which may not be ideal if you have a lot of luggage. I just had my pack and my flight leaving Korea left early in the morning, so I took the subway. Wi-fi was shotty; worked when it wanted to. There is a cultural building nearby whose wi-fi I often used when the hostel wasn't working. They also have PCs available to rent. There is guard at night when the front desk is closed, but I never felt unsafe. The design of the building is beautiful but because of the open space, noise travels so early in the morning, I could hear guests and their noisy kids in the lobby, so try to get a room higher up.

Though its location is considerably a bit far from main attractions in Seoul, thanks for convenient Seoul's subway network, you can go to city centre in 10 mins. Ideal place to stay for those who like to travel from/to airports (Gimpo or Incheon) by train.

Room Tip: 5th floor is suitable for those who needs to do laundry

Very nice place to stay in, even though it's quite a walk (10-15mins) between the 2 metro stops. Staff was very friendly, looks more like a hotel room than a hostel. the 4pax room is very convenient for group of friends who want to stay together for a cheap priced room. Suitable for long stays as it's not very taxing on the pocket.

Few points to note - no air-conditioning or fan during late Autumn when the weather starts to turn cold, room gets very heated during the day and very stuffy during the night as the window is small and does not allow much air to pass through.
- Youth hostel meaning many young school kids staying in the lower levels during weekdays. Might cause some noise but smaller rooms are located on higher level thus disturbance is still okay.
- Wifi available all around the hostel! Whee~

Otherwise hostel is very clean and efficient when we need help like more towels, etc.

The hostel was very modern & didnt seem like a hostel, it was like a hotel. the rooms were spacious and came with plasma TV, there was even a bathtub in the bathroom.
downsides - the location was not really in central Seoul & takes about a 30 mins subway ride & a 15 min walk to the subway station from the hostel.
the bedsheets were dirty & they do not provide big towels. only handtowels are provided!
overall it was a value for money stay but i would rather pick a hostel located in central seoul.

Great Hostel! after a tiring day of sightseeing we were always excited to return to our room. Its a great place for friends to bond. We stayed at a family room (condo-type) where there are cooking facilities. The hostel has a free laundry area, a common kitchen and a lounge. The staff were really friendly and helpful! When I return to Seoul, I'll book this hostel again!

Room Tip: Cooking is allowed in the condo type rooms.
