Great food & service. Suitably located while staying at the Somerset Palace Seoul which is within the same complex. Very efficient service.

If you are a fan of German cuisine, this is a wonderful stop to make. A large airy indoor dining area with outdoor dining as well. While the atmosphere was very relaxing, the food and service stole the show. Smoked porkloin is an excellent choice.

Had decent german beer and a german themed menu.
Indoor and outdoor dining/drink options in a relaxed garden setting.
Good for a relaxing wind down and casual meal.

The quality of food we had, and the German Beer on tap was very good. However, I would have liked to see more of a selection. I could not find Sauerbraten and a few other classics but there was a good selection of Bratwursts, which as I mentioned were very good.

My main problem was with the service. In particular, the order taking wasn't very organized and they had trouble matching beers with who ordered them. Food did not come out together causing us to be rude and eat or wait until the others' food came out causing ours to get cold.

If you are a German and need a "fix" of home food, Barlin might be an enjoyable visit.

The Barlin is one of the two good restaurants in this hotel. Have to head to head to the back of the hotel and find a actually really nice garden that leads to the entrance of the Barlin. It is a great looking restaurant. Open kitchen, a long bar, and great seating.

I have been to the restaurant actually a number of times because I'm in the area and German food is hard to find in Korea. I would not order a ton of sausages here as they pale in comparison to real German sausages. The spatzle is pretty good and might be the best dish on the menu and with the chicken.

The pork and beef comes out a little overcooked, fish is inconsistent. Chicken is pretty good though.

Beer on tap is a good offering. And if you are looking for authentic German food this might be your best bet.
