Though this hotel does not offer many facilities and amenities like the usual hotels, but it gets two thumbs up for it's location and number of guest allowed per room (max.4 but we had 5 heads).Short walk from airport limo drop off and to train(7mins). Clean room/beddings/bathroom.Not much space to move about in room.Highlight in the room is the loft which will be the kids favourite(ceiling is low). There are many restaurants/pubs within the area.Chungmurro station is situated in the center of the Seoul Metro map.Need not travel too far to visit any sights.

This is a converted condo unit type and has a loft with space for families with a few kids to place sleeping bags so that the family can stay in one room. Amenities include a convenient washing machine, very large fridge and stove but as there are no pots and pans, crockery or utensils (except for two small cups and a teaspoon) provided, if you fully wish to make use of these facilities, you can either bring them along. My main peeve is I personally hate combined bathroom, toilet spaces as the entire toilet gets wet. Not only that but water tends to leak from the shower space leaving some stains on the wall near the floor. Otherwise, the room is clean and well kept.

This place a very hard to find, you need to take reference from the building across the road which is the Health Promotion Board which is what the taxi drivers would be familiar with. Otherwise your taxi driver will have a hard time finding it, as will you as it is accessible from an entrance off the main road with only a small sign at the side of the building to indicate the position. You can walk from the subway but make sure you have clear directions and landmarks before you attempt the about 10 to 15 minute walk otherwise you might miss the entrance altogether.

This place a value for money with easy access to Myeong Dong. Service staff is friendly, speaks good English and helpful.

Easily accessible transport is vital in Seoul and Chungmuro Residence has that advantage - location. The bus stop is a few minutes away as is the subway - both of which you will use Although the hotel is so centrally situated it is surprisingly difficult to find initially. Our taxi driver couldnt find it although she had stopped literally 2 seconds away. The accommodation itself is adequate. Be prepared to carry your own luggage to your room - there is no porter. The room is small and has a loft which I believe serves little purpose unless you are traveling with small children. The beds are hard but not unlike those in other Korean hotels. The room has sufficient towels and toiletries and a large refrigerator. The area is very safe and we felt quite secure walking back to the hotel late at night. There are lots of coffee shops in the the area - try the pastries, they are delicious!!

This is the place when you want your whole family to stay in 1 room. The room is good for 4 adults. 3 adults on the ground floor and 1 adult on the loft.

The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, pet sellers and motorcycle shops.

The hotel is also around 7 minute walk to the train station.

When going to meyongdong area, you can either walk for 15 minutes or get a taxi.

The staff are helpful. They would translate the places we want to go, so that it would be easier for us to tell the cab where we want to go.

Value for money hotel.

I went to Seoul for a few times already. Below are some of the hotels that i can recommend to you guys.

1. Hilton Millennium Seoul - for more upscale hotel, you can choose Hilton. Take note that you need to hike up a hill if you want to take subway. Anyway taxi is cheap in Seoul compared to other city. This hotel is very near to one of the largest subway station - Seoul Station. it's < 10 minutes walk. Around the station there's many place to shop and also Lotte Mart. There's also many restaurant around. Nandaemun market is just 5 minutes away. For those that like to gamble, there's casino in Hilton. There's also many nice restaurant in hilton. I like the toiletries there as they are using crabtree and evelyn. Airport limousine stop in front of Hilton.

2. Lower rate hotel (ard usd 90-120)
Ramada Dongdaemun - for lower rate you can choose this hotel. The room is quite new as i heard it had just been refurbished. Airport bus do not stop in front. The nearest is Western Co-op where the airport bus stop. then u need to walk around 5 min to Ramada. Subway station is just 5 min walk. Make sure u use the right entrance - Dongdaemun station, dont use the Dongdaemun Cultural Park station. There's only one restaurant in this hotel. Not much amenities provided. House keeping is good. there's G25 nearby but i dont see many restaurant around.

Chungmuro Residence - for budget stay you guys can choose Chungmuro Residence. It's more like a service apartment. The room is in a few floors inside the apartment itself. So dont expect a good house keeping. The room is quite modern and new, however toilet is small. Airport bus do not stop there, it's around 10 minutes walk from the nearest stop point. You can walk to Myeong Dong from this apartment. i would say ard 15-20 min walk. If u want to talk taxi then u better print out the map as the entrance to this apartment is through a small alley. there's 7 eleven and many eateries nearby.
