This is a beautiful sight, but most of the buildings are pretty empty and besides the architecture, there isn't much there. The palaces look pretty much the same, and I suggest doing them all in one day to get the feel for them and then move on. Makes fore beautiful pictures.

The temple is peaceful, you can go around with a lot of local, you can pray and you have a nice view over the city.

It's nice to walk in this big palace if you have times. You need about 1 hour to cover the whole palace as it's huge. Nice lake inside . Very nice to walk around.

This was the fourth Seoul palace on the UNESCO list that I visited and by then, I was having trouble distinguishing them. Still, I had an enjoyable walk there, but do not be expecting anything too great.

For just 1000 won, the Palace worth a visit. ( closed on Monday)
I agree, the palace itself is more like a mini version of Forbidden City.
We liked the secret garden, the park trees and flowers, the ponds, the quietness to it.
We didn't use a guide just to enjoy a slower paste, after all it was Sunday! Relaxing day and photo opportunities ...
