It is not a 5* hotel so do not expect too much. But for me it has everything that i need.
1. A lovely attached toilet and bath
2. A good and comfy bed
3. Water!!
Extra things that will make you enjoy the stay
1. A huge TV
2. Robes/Towels/toiletries
3. Umbrellas (borrowed for free)
4. Late night check-in (no charge)
5. Elevator! (was really glad of this with my luggage)
6. Friendly service

The hotel is located right in the middle of the Insadong pedestrian area with lots of nice shopping. Several major palaces, museums and sights are within walking distance, as are two subway stops and the very cheap and convenient airport limo bus to/from Incheon airport. The rooms are very cramped and worn. They did not have non-smoking rooms, so both of our rooms smelled of smoke. The rooms had: gigantic flat screen TV with a variety of Korean and foreign channels, refrigerator refilled daily with two juice boxes and a bottle of water (free), tea bags and instant coffee, a selection of lotions and cologne, full size bed, A/C, water dispenser, free wired internet in the room. The bathroom was also cramped; the tub/shower did not have a shower curtain and the tile was chipped and stained. They provided soap, shampoo and toothpaste. The attendant at the front desk was nice, but spoke little English. There is no lobby or lounge. Overall, the price and location are great, and this is a fine budget choice if you are not too particular.

The main advantage of this hotel is the location, it's right in a small alley off Insadong, which is the pedestrian street of Seoul full of small shop, cafe and restaurant.
The rooms are very small, not particularly new, but clean and good enough for the price.
And the staff is efficient and friendly.

First of all - the location. The hotel is located in probably one of the best areas. About 15min walk to two palaces and 35 min walk to town square and city centre hotel (don't ask me to check the names...it's been 2 months since I got back)

The rooms are simple but crazy at the same time. There is no wardrobe but there is a huge plasma tv, desktop computer, waster dispenser! ....the rooms are very colorful but tiny.

Overall great value for money.Would definitely recommend to a friend....unless you are looking for a fancy luxurious hotel. Saerim is simple but cool. Check out my pictures
