While taking a stroll in the old city dont miss this cozy precious place. With a beautifully arranged interior and a very special selection of handmade souvenirs, especially painted silk this place will offer you a piece of georgian soul you can carry with you!

What a delight to find a shop filled with handmade items by local artisans! The shop is simple with simple merchandising, and the goods are great and so is the staff. The Gallery itself is on the second floor of an old transformed building with marvelous stained glass windows in an original artsy style.

A long block or so behind the Synagogue is Gallery 27 - a beautiful little artisan gallery and a great place to get hand-printed traditional tablecloths, but what makes the place really special is the historic house that it is set in - bright aqua teal with stunning orange, red, and yellow stained glass windows.

We were staying just down the road from Gallery 27. On our way home one afternoon we decided to visit.

The beautiful, rainbow, stained glass windows on the way up to the shop are worth a visit alone.

On entering we met Nutsa, the wonderful curator of the store. She selects high quality, handmade objects from around Georgia and presents them beautifully. We purchased a handmade leather wallet and some lovely post cards. I wish we had space in our London home for one of the intricately made table cloths.

We had a great conversation about Georgia and the UK where her aunt runs the Little Georgia restaurants. A fabulous lady and a wonderful shop. Well worth the visit.
