I arrived in Tbilisi in the mid-afternoon, after a rather harrowing journey from Armenia. It was hot, I was hungry, but didn't want much to eat. I had researched some restaurants in advance and Cafe Gabriadze was near the hotel and seemed like a top bet. I sat outside, with a great view of the funky clock. I ordered the Georgian cheese plate and it came with 3 or 4 different cheeses and a beautiful bouquet of herbs to eat with them. I also ordered a glass of house white wine. A bit disappointingly, it was not very cold and as it was a very hot day, it soon became a bit unpleasant to drink as I wasn't gulping it down! But the wine itself was nice. Service was excellent. Unfortunately, I didn't go inside but even in the mid-afternoon it looked rather crowded.
