Nice but short ride with good views of city. Few services at the top. Can walk down through Botanical Gardens if feeling adventurous. Additional note, the "card" used for this tramway as the same that you can use on the big yellow buses and the Mashutkas. When used on the big yellow buses you get multiple rides for the single 0.5GEL fare within a 1.5 hour window. For mashutkas you pay the 0.8 GEL for every ride whether cash or card.

A short cable-car ride up the mountain with wonderful views of the city. We were lucky enough to have a local guide with us to point out all the landmarks.

A very short journey across the Mtkvari river and up to Narikala. I wish this ride could be longer to enjoy the breathtaking views of the old town.

Nice enclosed cable cars. Tremendous views from the fortress. There are Carnie games up there believe it or not. There's a walkway and an old tumble-down fortress. A giant silver statue of the 'Mother of Georgia' Go for the views and the low cost ride. I think we paid 2 Gel each round-trip.

Kids would love it and it's a great way to kill time.

If you take the ride just to visit the Narinkala fortress,is a good option, cheap and fast. However you will have a better experience starting from Abanotunabi and make your way to the fortress walking. If your plan is to see the statue of Mother Georgia, the vision from the bottom is better. Better views of the city from the fortress.
