i've been here on a project in november. i stayed for 1 week.
i was fortunate enough to get the big room with 1 big double comfortable bed and a single, a fireplace, own bathroom, huge room over all with ac that had both cold and warm options
but ...the balcony door wouldn't close, and november is not the time of the year when that is bearable. we would turn on the ac...but the ppl managing the hotel felt free to come search for the remote through our things and close it for us...because it consumes electricity....really? i thought it runs on fairy dust.
the bathroom was big, but moldy and smelly. they had a water tank ...so 3 ppl taking showers one after another...was not a pleasant experience for the last person.
during our entire stay we did not receive a key. i personally was ok with that. but i drew the line at ppl entering the room without our consent, and that happened frequently. nothing was stolen, but we had no privacy, nor did i enjoy them rearranging or fiddling with my things in search for their own agendas
food was a big issue..very poor quality, very unsanitary, several of us found hair in our food. again...on a personal level i found a 40-50cm hair in my soup. a lady took out the hair in front of me took the soup with her, and in the kitchen poured it back into the serving bowl.
the owner was not friendly, yes ocassionally yeled at us for no good reason, nor helpful and our group had all their good manners with them.
all in all...the location is good...you can reach all interesting sites by foot ....but unless you are fortunate enough to get the 3 decent rooms in the hostel....it's just not worth it
