First of all many thanks to the owner who was forthcoming and welcoming.
Then kudos to the hotel staff. The ladies at the reception and the women in restaurant made our stay easy and helped us at n number of places.
The location is really good with beautiful views of Sameba and other buildings but it was the hotel staff that added a charm to it that is commendable.

A good 3-star hotel situated in a residential area, only a few hundred meters from Avlabari Metro station.
Rooms facing the street can suffer from some noise from playing children - which may add to the hotel´s charm, depending on your taste - but will also give you a splendid view over Tbilisi.
Some rooms have balconies, and most are equipped with satelite TV and minibar and A/C.
A few rooms do not have "inside" facilities, but you will have your own key to a private bathroom just outside your room.
Very helpful and welcoming staff and competetive rates, and the airport pick up/drop off was worth the price.
Breakfast is standard Georgian, tomatoes/cucumbers, cheese and bread and some kind of eggs.
All in all a good chance to se another side of Tbilisi than the posh and overpriced tourist area.
If returning to Tbilisi, this will be our choice of hotel once again.

Room Tip: Rooms 32 and 42 are larger corner rooms with balconies, but will tend to be very hot during summer.

This was a 2/3 star hotel - we stayed in one of their nicer and larger rooms on the 3rd floor (corner room), which included private bathroom and a small balcony with no chairs. We stayed 5 nights and though they cleaned every day, they never changed our towels or sheets once. Breakfast was ok with eggs, bread/butter/jam, cheese, a pastry of some kind and tea or coffee. It is located on a side street, a 1 minute walk from the metro station "Avlabari."

Problem is, it is located in a noisy neighborhood with lots of kids playing well into the night. When they go to bed, all of the older kids come out, yelling, screaming - being kids. We had to sleep with the windows and balcony closed despite the great weather and had to use ear plugs.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They all speak Russian much better than they do English. There are some small, hole-in-the wall places to eat late at night.

This was my first trip to Tbilisi on business. I chose the hotel as I wanted to experience the local hotel industry and after reading the positive reviews of it on your site. The rate was also very attractive. The airport transfer was perfect but what a disappointment this hotel was. It is located on a side narrow street with wooden houses around it (al in need of urgent repair as for most buildings in the old city). Upon arrival in the spring evening the street was full of kids and young men sitting around in the street outside the hotel; it gave me an uneasy feeling before I even walked into the hotel....
The hotel is a badly renovated building, I was received with big smiles with a passable english by the reception;I was allocated a room on the fourth floor; the hotel does not have an elevator; it was a pity that I was not advised of this in advance. The room had twin beds, a small TV and thin curtains. The bathroom was located across my room and it was private to me ( I was advised of this when I made the reservation)- it was an internal room with a shower/toilet but no windows but unfortunately it had a horrible smell.....The worse was that the last staircase step before reaching the fourth floor was uneven with the rest of the steps and I almost fell twice which it would have been disastrous if I rolled down the staircase!....I had a terrible sleep and woke up early. The breakfast room is a room in the basement without any windows. The breakfast was ok. The wifi available in all of the hotel worked adequately. This is a small pension suitable for younger people. I checked out and move to another hotel. I gave my reasons to the reception staff for leaving on check out.

Room Tip: This hotel does not have an elevator so please enquire as to which floor your room will be located.

There is an airport pick-up/drop-off service, which was not advertised, for a $20 fee. For late pm/early am flights, this is an invaluable service, although double the price of some hotels.

The ladies that operate the front desk of the Hotel Armazi Palace was wonderful. Breakfast was good and changes often, varying from fried egg, boiled egg or local cheese-bread, which is accompanied by bread and jam and a choice of tea/coffee.

The hotel WiFi is excellent throughout, which compensates for the in-room TV, which has numerous channels, non of which are English-speaking (except BBC World). There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

The shower room DOES have a slight damp odour to it which is the result of poor plumbing, but nothing to dramatic. Rooms are cleaned infrequently and towels are changed as often as you may find elsewhere, which is fine for a solo traveller, but more of an issue for couples/families. I am sure that if needs be, the staff would accommodate any request if asked.

The location of the hotel is very good and a short walk from many of the cities many attractions. That said, there are no restaurants near-by but the walk to the opposite end of the Old Town, where they are located, is pleasurable enough.

Room Tip: Ring/email ahead for the transfer service for $20.

Thank you so much, Ella, Tamara, Mari and others! :) Armazi's location is ecxellent; just few steps from the nearest metrostation in Avlabari. Still the neighbourhood is quiet, so one can sleep without earplugs (if the roommate makes it possible). ;) The lady in the breakfast room is lovely and smiles all the time. The owner is very nice. Maybe you'll get a chance to taste his wine... :) If you have troubles with stairs, then this isn't your hotel - there is no elevator. Some of us missed fruits during the breakfast. Tea was super - local, Georgian tea! :) Thank you for that! <3 Khatsapuri and lobiani were great.

I chose this hotel for a group of 19 people, because in this hotel most of the rooms have twin beds (not double) and there is a toilet and a shower in every room (exept one). There is also a balcony in each room. The views from the rooms vary from luxerious to ramshackle, but that's how it is in Tbilisi. :)

In some rooms we missed more coat hangers, but I forgot to ask them from the reception - so the need wasn't very urgent. Welcoming ceremony was great! :) Thank you once again! :)

Room Tip: Room 22; on the first floor with an extra space (sofa and chairs). Good choise, if you stay in Tbils...
