We ate here for a late dinner recently, and both the food and service was superb. The waiters were very obliging and attentive. The chef gave us each a small complimentary starter which was a lovely touch. Both the shkmeruli and salmon are highly recommended, and the ice cream was divine. Extremely reasonable prices for both quality if food, presentation, service and view.

This restaurant is one of the best places in Tbilisi. Good services, good traditional georgian food, spectacular platings and great view.
Many thanks to Giorgi and Zura!

My wife invited me to Meama on the last evening of our trip to Tibilisi - and even in a town with an abundance of great gastronomic choices, this place stands out.

Zura - the owner - had a wonderful table for us, overlooking Meidan place, of Rose Revolution fame, the Metheki Bridge and Sameba Cathedral, so the setting was nothing short of spectacular.

With the help of Zura, who speaks flluent English, we ordered Kubdari as a starter. Geaorgia is (rightfully) famous vor a large variety of filled, stuffed and gratineed types of bread, and Meama serves a Kubdari bread stuffed with minced beef, spices, and onions. After baking it's covered, or rather, sprayed with a fine mist of cannabis oil (yes, cannabis, but without the drugs) and it is smply to die for. The portion is huge, so we had to pace ourselves as not to miss out on other delights.

The main course was another Georgian mainstay: Gresta, a casserole of mushrooms, tomatoes and beef, gratineed with delightful Georgian cheese.

Dessert was Krokoti, a chilled mousse of chocolate and nuts, with a sice of ice cream.

From beginning to end this was a perfect dinner, with a breathtaking setting, delightful food and attentive, caring service.

We will most definitely return to Tibilisi, and Meama is one of many good reasons to do so.
