Description: WE HAVE MOVED TO 80 UNIVERSITY AVENUE. Le Planteur opens a new restaurant on Inya Lake, at 80 University Road. Le Planteur (Inya Lake) upgraded even more to the next standard of finesse in quality, standard and ambience!! And so, Le Planteur (Inya Lake) remains faithful to its concept, in a stunningly attractive venue!! It is an exciting and wonderful evolution and change for Le Planteur - but the things you and I love about Le Planteur have not changed. A new Chef arrived at Le Planteur! The team is proud to welcome Chef Gil Dumoulin who will be in charge of the fine dining restaurant.

its very out of the way, from the main road, its another 200m into the small lane.

you need the hotel staff to tell the driver where is the location, if not call the restaurant to talk to the driver on the mobile.

great décor and ambience, building of an old colonial house. food was great, wine list is impressive too.

but the beef cheek is little disappointing

It's not so easy to find the restaurant as it's not beside the road, you may better to ask the hotel staff to help you to talk to the taxi driver first. Outdoor is stunning, but if you want to sit there, better to spray mosquito repellent in advance. We ate the meal originally outdoor but later on switched to indoor due to the mosquitos and the heat. Anyhow, the food is fabulous, the restaurant is stunning and the service is also wonderful. A super duper romantic restaurant and I would definitely go there again.

Great grounds and decor. Food marvellously presented. A fine wine list. The entrees and deserts were excellent. The Cheeseboard was well stocked and perhaps we chose unwisely as the cheese was unremarkable. Service was faltering, as if no staff had been assigned to our table. The restaurant was busy. Reservation recommended.

Excellent quality and representative using good materials?. The whole ambiance is great as old colonial house you can eat inside or under the cloisters / veranda whihc has a more relaxed feel. In dry season eating in the garden which rolls down to the lake would be delightful.
