Visited with Pandaw en route to our ship early morning. An amazing, but sad atmosphere at so much loss of young lives.
Beautifully kept.

Thank Sylvia H

The War Graves Commision do a wonderful job maintaining this cemetery.
Very moving walking around the site, so many very young men from all over the Commonwealth lost their lives here.

Not as pristine as the more visited war graves in Europe. Nonetheless well worth the stop and spending a little time paying respects to the wide age range (17 to 54 on graves we noted) of those killed in the Burma campaigns. Also a useful reminder that the majority of recorded deaths were Indian and African soldiers serving with the British Army.

A bit far from the city but in direction of Bago where there are many temples and monasteries. Worth the stop to stretch your legs and breath some historic moments

Thank you for paying respect to the Allied soldiers. A well managed cemetery and memorial. Very diverse as the soldiers come from many parts of the world. No Americans as I know they were all brought back to the USA. What was overwhelming were the amount of unknown soldiers buried there. Much respect. I only wish there was a book or pamphlet to read more about these brave people who fought for freedom.
