Amazing, wow its a door... really a loss of time, you can jump if you want and see that it is probably more confortable that insein prison.

Obviously remarkable historical place for Myanmar but it is located on a busy road and all you can see is a gate. If you are in the area, pass by, but I wouldnt go out of my way to see it.

Keeping in mind you will not be able to enter the premises, it is worth to have the taxi driving you there, letting you get off (pulling past the house!!!!) and take pictures, after you ask permission to the guard, with his gun well visible. Have the taxi waiting for you, since all will take minutes.
To think Aung San Suu Kyi was in a state of arrest for 18 years....made me curious, and so sad too. It is worth to read a bit of the past history of Myanmar, and to consider how the country is opening up now because of Aung San Suu Kyi now.
The place, from outside, looks in the middle of lush vegetation, and the area where it is located is definitively a upper class district.
