Behind the Inya Lake park people can visit Daw Aung San Suu Kyi House, is actually a very high fence, a steel gate and security guards. Now can take groups photo for memorable. This is the house of Daw Aung San Su Kyi, was house arrest for decades during the military government.

The place is not open for visits as it's not a museum. You can only view the house from the gates. Good to see if you know the story of the lady, for the sake of 'been there, done that'. Still good to drive by if it's along your way. Unless you're beating the Yangon traffic to get somewhere else more important.

Inya Lake park is nice but all we saw from Aung San Suu Kyi House was actually a very high fence, a steel gate and security guards. We were told that she no longer lives there.
The house is not open to the public. Our driver stopped along the really very busy road and we quickly took a picture.

Not recommended.

This spot used to be heavily surveiled, or guarded, or even kept off limits to rubberneckers. Now you can selfie there all you want, but there is nothing to see.

After seeing the house so many times in the news, it was surreal to see it in real life.

You can't go in. Our driver drove past it and i quickly snapped a pix. It's along a really busy road.

Nothing interesting - it was nothing but fences and exterior of a heavily guarded house. Would have been nice if able to take a look inside.

Knowing of the importance, history and fame of Aung San Suu Kyi i was looking forward to see the place where she was held for so many years.
Very big disappointment: we saw nothing but a closed gate, that's it. Pure loss of time.

This had been built up by our tour guide as a must do, so off we set in 34c on a busy dusty road, only to see a big gate
Oh well, at least we saw where history was made, or near it anyway!

Having been told that we would be able to see Aung San Suu Kyi's house from the roadside, all we actually saw was a very high fence, a steel gate and a security guard.

Don't waste your time.

The park is lovely but all you see is the gate as illustrated in this picture, and she no longer lives there.
