This Palace is a must see in Yangoon, It is very accessible and easy to find, from The Shwedagon pagoda complex,it would just take you more or less 15minutes by taxi, upon entering in the palace several well dressed burmese performer will welcomes you,the aisle going in the center of the palace is so picture perfect, the staff are very hospitable tourist, because even though I don't have a reservation for a buffet dinner they still be able to entertained me,they allow me to have the buffet dinner, the foods taste so great they are all worth to visit, while your eating various performance will entertain you, showing how beautiful there culture is,I could say that they have a cultural heritage which is very vibrant and colorful, from the way dress and even the performance well choreograph, for a traveler like me you wants to learn more about a country that they are visiting, this is a place to be.

“Includes the Myanmar Cultural Show and food buffet”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

A nice opportunity to get some snapshots with Myanmar people in traditional customs particularly, if you arrive a little early and have to wait for the opening of the palace. Don't be shy and pose with the girls and guys in customs. They are used to it :-)

The show is somewhat disappointing. Also the setup - two long halls with the stage at the narrow ends - is a disaster. Either you get a seat at the front tables or you are likely to see very little at all.

The food is plenty but rather just average. My recommendation: the traditional Myanmar desert. It is prepared in a separate corner in the buffet area and looks like folded crepe with (I think) coconuts splices.

“Nice to look at but not much too see there”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We paid the 2000k to enter the park and really enjoyed the boardwalk that took us around Kandawgi lake, we then had to pay an additional 300k each to visit Karaweik. I suppose in a way the 300k was worth it as it is pennys really but there isnt anything to see when you get there or any signage giving information Im not sure if its normal but we werent allowed to go in Karaweik and the fee just basically allowed us to get that bit closer.
It is definitely different and nice to look at but you can decent enough photos from the boardwalk unless you particularly want to see the entrance way.

“Great Dinner and Show”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

I was thinking of not dining here, as it seemed such a tourist trap. However, I changed my mind and glad I did. Yes, it is a bit over-the-top, but they made it work. The dancers were good and the food was, too. They made a large variety of foods available for different tastes. Not bad for $20 USD. A good dinner and a show. Would recommend.
