“A good budget choice in Yangon”

Quite expensive by Asian standards, but this being Yangon where every hotel sees the new found influx of tourists as walking banks, this hotel offers acceptable value by new-Yangon standards. A few years ago this hotel would have been $10, but now 30 to 40 dollars.

Room Tip: A window room is a bit more expensive. The "emergency exit" on the 3 floor is double locke...

Stayed here for my last few days in Burma. The location was ideal very close to the market etc.
My standard room seemed ok, clean and the air con worked. At the time, February 2012, the price was no different to what i was paying elsewhere.
They answered emails very quickly before arriving which was the problem with Burma.
I would chose the place more for the location which was ideal very close to the market etc than anything else and only for a few days.

Paid $45 for a double front room on the 2nd floor. Could not get air con to work properly, no towels, no hot water. But nice breakfast, helpful reception staff, and wonderful location for station and town. But try not to think about the fire risk.

Our room at Beautyland II was comfortable: fan, A/C, in-room shower, TV. No window (sigh). There is a nice lounge for guests where you can hang out and use wifi. Breakfast was nice and they have their own restaurant (which we didn't try). Travel advice was non-existent.

A squalid dive of a hotel with an incompetent two-faced psychopath Manager and atrocious rooms, AC which works only in some rooms, old 10" tv's and one bad channel. No refrigerator in rooms. Rooms are equivalent to a $6 room in phnom penh, an $8 room in BKK and for this they have the nerve to charge $30usd! Unbelievable. Location IS central but not nice at all. It was a very bad introduction to Yangon, a lovely city. It is not that easy to find a good cheap hotel here but it is possible. I can recommend Father Land hotel, No.232-A, Yamona St, Waso Qtr, Dawpon township, Yangon. Ph 01-9190078, 9190079. Well run modern, clean, nice quiet location only a $2 cab from Cbd. $35 per night inc an average breakfast. Better than $100 rooms in the Cbd. Enjoy

I stayed there for couple of nights when I was traveling in Burma. The location is pretty good and convenient to move to other places, especially for eating, 10 minutes walking to Bogyoke Aung San market. The room is very neat but the hot water doesn't work well. It's a bit overpriced.

Stayed here when we came back from Mandalay as the Ocean Pearl was fully booked. Centrally located but overpriced. Very small rooms, one person could only just walk around the bed. No wifi but for a cup of coffee at Traders Hotel you can use their wifi. Aircon and hot water okay but tv didn't work. For a day or two stay its okay.

Room Tip: Look at the rooms before accepting one.
