Nice place with lakeside restaurants. Many locals relaxing and exercising there after work. If you need aircon relief from the dry season heat, Myanmar Plaza is nearby.

Inya lake is probably the nicest park in Yangon area. With nice and well cared for water bank and also a small park to chill in (opposite of the university)
