“So many young couples 'hiding' behind their umbrelas”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

The lake is surrounded by a beautiful garden and there are a lot, I said..a lot of young couples sitting there with their umbrella, hiding for smooching. You will find similar scenery at Maha Bandoola garden.
There are many seafood stalls that sell good food there.

“City escapade”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Went for a walk around Inya Lake in the afternoon. Couples love this place as there were many lovebirds spending a lazy afternoon by the lake. I could see Aung San Suu Kyi's former house from afar. I walked deeper into the woods where there were a few restaurants and cafes (local teahouses). It was a pretty relaxing and quiet place in Yangon city. If you are looking for a more peaceful getaway in Yangon, Inya Lake is not to be missed!

“Nice sunset”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

Spend the sunset there! But Kandawgyi is more preferred. Advisable to travel during November to December period due to the cooling weather!

“It is a University Students' dating place.”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Great place to jog around on a winter morning. Eat burmese tempura by the lake during the late afternoons and watch the world go by.

“Great Spot”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

Inya Lake is the biggest lake in Yangon perhaps best known for Aung San Suu Kyi’s house, where she spent lot of time under house arrest, is on University Avenue on the lake’s southern shore. Many of Yangon’s rich and powerful live in mansions surrounding the lake and Aung San Suu Kyi’s old foe, the long-time dictator General Ne Win, lived across the water from her until his death in 2002. I saw young couples enjoying romantic time as the university is near the lake; It is very tranquil and lovely spot.
