It was stated in the picture right in front the gate entering the cathedral that it opens at 2pm in the afternoon. But without any notice, they changed the visiting hour to 3pm. Just take note of that.

We had missed the services in English but were happy to enjoy a moment of reflection in this lovely church.
We noticed that the church has a lot if history and that it had recently undergone some renovation hence the more modern ceiling I guess. Beautiful church with really interesting friezes and sculptures with fabulous stained glass windows.
Well worth a look if you are in the area and need somewhere to rest from the hustle and bustle of the old town.
Nice toilet facilities outside. Seems to be a good relationship with the community which is lovely to see.

An ocean of peace and calm, this is an impressive building and stands in contrast to all the gilded Buddhist temples. It is formal but not in the least intimidating. Well worth a visit to leave all the traffic behind for a while - they have great toilets too.

We wandered past this one after a hearty breakfast at the nearby Lucky 7 so wandered to have a look at a cathedral in the middle of Yangon. Have to say it was not particularly inspiring, especially after visiting all the stunning pagodas. Wandered out again fairly quickly.
