not overly impressive but easy to reach location. So, if you are already in the center, why not checking it out.

Sadly this pagoda is very old and dirty, it has not been looked after and unless you happen to be there I wouldnt recommend travelling to see it.

This is a great pagoda that has turned into a local roundabout. We made the mistake of visiting this AFTER Shewadagon and thus were pretty underwhelmed.

It's a great sight, but definitely visit this BEFORE you go up to Shewadgon.

$2USD to enter. Very helpful staff.

Thank bec b

Less spectacular than Shwezigon Paya, this is still the major temple for tourists and of course for locals. This stands at the middle of roundabout, be careful to walk across the road to reach temple, daytime traffic may be heavy, it's the centre of Yangon! This temple is smaller than Shwezigon so it takes less time to see this place. But still impressively gold!! Some locals were napping, eating lunch and so on....You see local life here. Admission fee is 2$. A woman asked ( or orderd ) to pay 5$ just before the admission point, she says we need to pay donation. You don't have to pay this. Of course it's up to you to pay donation or not. If you encounter this, be careful.
