“Good for Business Teams and Families”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

A well-maintained and effective place to stay for business teams or families. Well, both are the same. The hotel is centrally located and easy to access. Big apartments and well equipped. I find the price/quality slight on the high side, but the friendliness of staff compensates for it.

It would be great if the hotel management could cater for vegetarians too.

With the recent tourism boom, hotel prices in Yangon have skyrocketed. MiCasa is still reasonably priced and great value (92 USD incl. tax through the hotel site). I stayed at MiCasa for 10 days, and it really felt like a home away from home. I loved it!

The only negative is the location, far from the city centre. But since the hotel is located on a busy road, it's very easy to get a taxi (3000 MMK to downtown). The mini mart on the premises (called Bring Me) is also very convenient.

If you are planning a trip to Yangon this is highly recommended. Clean comfortable rooms and friendly Engilsh speaking staff made my visit a memorable one. The hotel is a short distance from the main city but you can get an inexpensive taxi into the city and restaurants. The hotel restaurant offers a very good selection of good quality food and an excellent breakfast. A small bar area is a welcome oasis in the evening for relaxation with a small band for entertainment.

We stayed here for two nights on arrival into Myanmar. We were met by our travel agent which made it even better, River Mekong Tours and Travel.
The hotel rooms were very comfortable. fantastic amenities, spacious, and we had a balcony overlooking some gardens. We didn't use the kitchen facility but it was very good. Bathroom was very clean too.
The business centre was on the ground floor where we could pay a daily fee to access the WiFi.
The buffet breakfast was extremely extensive, catering to all tastes. They even supplied us with a take away breakfast for our early morning departure to catch a bus.
The pool was located near reception and the fitness club.
We enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our trip.
We took a suite as we are a family of 4 and kids two young to have own room - it was slightly overpriced and not cheap by Yangon standards but spacious and clean and we made good use of the kitchen.
The kids loved the pool when we had come back each day the was nearly always empty and was clean.
There is a small mini mart on site that sells basics etc and a expensive restaurant.
There are washing machines on 3 floors - free and if you then go done to reception they will put it in a tumble dryer for free - great when travelling with kids and having gotten soaked in the downpour downtown.
A short distance from the airport but longer from the down town area - near the lake and jus along from a couple of big hotels. We got a taxi from the hotel down town for 2500 khats and it took about 30 mins - 3000 khats back from the sule paya.

Prices have gone up in Myanmar, but this hotel is not worth the 100 $++ rates (without breakfast !!!) they ask you.
The rooms are furbished for asian taste in an unsophisticated manner.
The restaurant is also furbished in what would be an asian interpretation of European decoration. The food is edible but not tasty.
Use this hotel only if you need to be closer to the airport (still 20 minutes away when there is no traffic) than the downtown hotels.

Yangoon hotels have gone up 2 to 3 since i was last there 6 years ago.Business people are coming from all over the world to this country, after the loosening of the sanction. We picked this Hotel because of price and also the halal food. The hotel is also close to the airport. Taxi is cheap and plenty, so going anywhere in yangoon is very easy. The place fits the price you pay. Rooms are big but averagely furnished. Pool and gym are alright. The front reception staffs are friendly and very helpfull. If you dont expect luxury you will be well satisfied with the place. Internet is 5usd per day but slow...but again slow internet is common in yangoon.
