“The best, overpriced pizza in town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

10,000 kyats is the average price for a 12" pizza that's lightly covered and thin crusted, but the taste is excellent. If they halved the prices I'd eat there more often, but it's just not value for money.

I went to the Pearl Condo Pa Pa's on a Friday night at 8pm (they closed at 9pm). There are only 2 tables, but fortunately there was no-one else there, so getting seated wasn't a problem. It has no atmosphere at all, but the smell of pizza cooking as you walk in is fantastic.

Overall it was very good, and though overpriced, the pizzas were very tasty. As I said, I'd eat there more often if not for the price. And going with good friends meant the ambiance didn't matter. Shortcomings aside, I recommend it to everyone who likes pizza.

“Great pizza and bring your own wine!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

11 of us turned up and over the next hour the staff delivered pizza after pizza to a very high standard. There was an Italian guy in the group who said almost as good as home.
You maybe put off by walking down a little alley but believe me it is worth it.
11$ for a huge pizza - 4 of us usually share 3!
They serve local beer but you can bring your own wine. there is a little shop on the main street just to the left of the entrance to the alley if you want to buy wine. Hardy's wine for 8$.
They also do delivery but you pay for the taxi.
The staff do want to help but their English is limited - for now!

“Surprisingly....good!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

A friend recommended this place and I must say the decor was...meh....practical at best. The Burmese guys behind the counter looked like they could care less whether I took the pizza or not. The service was just... standard for burma.... Then I took my pizza to the hotel and my husband literally ate the whole thing in 10 minutes. I had 2 pieces and was shocked at how good it was! We were both happy in the end so mission accomplished.

“Hidden Slice of Heaven in Yangon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

Having experienced the oilier side of Myanmar cuisine I was somewhat skeptical about the local take on an Italian dish. However, having inadvertently order one of Pa Pa's pepperoni pizzas from the 'Dee Bar' near my apartment, all doubts were quashed! I now go direct to the restaurant itself which is very unassuming and located down a dark alleyway and get it to takeaway, although I believe they also do deliveries direct to your place.

The pizza's are of the thin, crispy variety which I far prefer to the doughy american 'pies' and the generous serving of toppings further adds to the taste. The pizzas aren't greasy whatsoever, which is something even the like of the Pizza Company and Pizza Hut often lose points for.

Oh and top tip: they taste great cold the next morning (but doesn't all pizza?)!
