“Awesome noodles, fantastic waiter”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

We had the sticky noodles and the regular shan rice noodles. Both were well textured and flavorful. The fried tofu was very well done. Also, the banana "juice" was like a milkshake but not as heavy and made a delicious dessert and palate cleanser. Our waiter had a very playful disposition and warm smile. Overall a very pleasant lunch spot. Was surprised before we ate to see a recent NY Times Review on the wall, but after tasting the food, it made perfect sense.

“Very good noodles at reasonable prices”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

Slightly more expensive then getting your noodles off the street vendors but worth the visit. You get free pickled veggies (as many as you want, the jar is on the table) as a small starter. A soup is included, and again, you can ask for more than one (actually the owner himself offers you more). Choice of plenty of local famous specialities. I am vegetarian so my choice was more limited but still had 5/6 dishes to pick from. Very nice vegetarian Shan sticky rice noodles.

“Loved it”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

After lots of bad food in Bagan we finally had the chance to visit 999. Great food for reasonable prices. Most of the guests were locals, which is always a good sign. Loved the chopstick-tricks of the really friendly and funny staff!

“Foo has never been this good!”

Wonderful little hole in the wall...easy to find and walk to from all sides of bustling Yangon. English is spoken. All the dishes are made fresh. Truly a delicious treat and so small a price: $3.00.

“Great noodles in Downtown Yangon”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

Great service, easy to find and superb food. I've been to Shan Province and had the local Shan noodles there, and this place has equally, if not better noodles. Service is super fast, you order and you get food three minutes later. Highly popular among the local people and not crowded with tourists. The boss speaks great English. I ended up eating here everyday while I was in Yangon.

Favorite dish: Sticky Shan Noodle Soup. (I also tried Sticky Shan Noodles and Shan Noodle Soup - also very good)
