I wasn't impressed. It is very expensive (booked through Agoda) and noisy. It's a challenge to reach upper floors during 'rush hours" bcz there is only one elevator. If you have a trip with your colleague, I would recommend to avoid this hotel because of a strange design of a toilet. I mean the lack of a door. This hotel has only one advantage, it's in the center of the city.

Good location for Yangon. The room size is good and for about $85 Aus. Per night not bad value as it includes breakfast although this is a bit average with little choice. Across the road from Traders hotel and lots of interesting shops around the block. Also lots of cheap eats nearby.
Probably the softest and most comfortable bed I slept in the country. Most beds in Myanmar are hard as rock.

Room Tip: Ask for a rom well above street level and towards the back of the building away from the street noise.

I know is not a fault of the hotel, but there is a huge construction site which is extremely noisy, day and night. Couldn't sleep. Breakfast is ridiculously expensive and at the time of check out they questioned my money and charged me 3000 ky for a small towel who got a little stain. I don't think this is worth 60 dollars but I agree that in Yangon there is nothing much left at a reasonable price.

This is reasonably priced hotel in a great location. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The service in this hotel is excellent. The shower set up is interesting, but I was on my own so it didn't matter. Breakfast was basic but adequate. I would recommend this hotel based on price, service and location.

Room Tip: Be aware that there isn't a separate shower room / bathroom, it is in the bedroom and offers little privacy.

Accommodation in Yangon is expensive. The East Hotel provides a nice option, not too pricey and centrally located. The service is good. The rooms are a bit on the small side but clean. As mentioned in most reviews the bathrooms are not very private which wasn't a problem for us but may be for others. The best part about the hotel is the location. Many of the downtown attractions are within walking distance.
