An acquaintance mentioned this place as a cheap, but decent place to stay in Yangon. They had a guy waiting for me when I arrived in the evening, with a sign. I had to wait a bit while he got the vehicle, and the other two Austrian hotel guests and I got in the car. This was to be the highlight of my stay.
After a 45 minute ride to the hotel, a quick check-in. They didn't like one of my US $20 bills, so I had to scrounge for near perfect bills to give them. I knew this, but thought my money was ok. So, be extra careful. After reading other reviews, I guess I'm lucky I had exact change.
I got a single room on the bottom floor near the internet cafe. A fairly thin mattress, but the room was fairly clean. The AC was already on, but the room had a peculiar odor. I know think that it's likely to have come from outside, where if you open the curtains, you'll see people cooking right outside your window!
I was pretty tired, and went out to get some water at the hotel's restaurant. They only take local currency, or will put it on your bill. My remain USD stash were all a bit wrinkled, so the desk wouldn't take them. I traded a little bit of Thai baht, but at an extremely horrid rate (25% haircut).

I went back to the room, to sleep, and had a really tough time of it. Constant noise from outside, the door 'rattled" from air pressure or something. Even at 4am, there was still noise from outside.
They only have two shuttles TO the airport. 6:30am and one in the afternoon. Maybe 2:30 or 3:30pm. Since I didn't have any good US currency, I had to go on the early morning one, and wait around a few hours.
The morning bus is unique. I'd call it a chicken bus, but I've ridding chicken buses, and this would be insulting to those. Old, and beat up, you will feel every single bump in the road. And experience, none the less.
If you're young and adventuresome, this is the place for you. It will be an experience you won't forget. Staff seemed friendly to me, which was the main positive thing about this hotel.More
