Our group went to Yangon for business.
Some stayed at other five star hotel, but we had to stay at this hotel because of shortage of room supply.
Room is not clean as standard. Location in the map looks good, but actually not so good have to walk 400-500 metre to main road.

My abiding memory is of a slightly tired, somewhat old fashioned hotel.

It's location means that it's a short taxi ride to anywhere interesting - the area around the hotel is ok, but there's a road to the north of the hotel near the train line that is a sort of shanty town.

The bedroom was a decent size and clean and the bed was firm. Having CNN was a nice change as most other hotels that I stayed in around Myanmar didn't. The bathroom was again a decent size and clean with plenty of hot water.

All very average.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lift - it pings a lot !

The Panda is a large but basic multi-story hotel, about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Yangon (Rangoon). Rooms had TV, fridge, en-suite shower and bath and air conditioning, and were clean, fairly spacious but rather dated. Our room on the 8th floor had a padlocked window that would not open, and one morning the water was only look-warm, so only a quick shower!

Our main dislike was the rather basic breakfast with no omelette bar (normally found in Burmese tourist hotels), no sausage or bacon, and rather cold fried eggs, rice and noodles.

Turn right out of the hotel, and there is a nice “New Doreen” restaurant a few minutes down the road serving Chinese and Japanese cuisine.

The Panda hotel is a 3 star property in Yangon. The rooms are very big with wooden floors and comfortable. But need some refurbishing as it is showing age. The area is little off from main Road but not far from city centre. The main drawback however I feel is the breakfast. It has limited choice and quality is not good.

Panda stands for quality, softness and nature. One would expect also fair priced and good services. Noop! The Myanmar Panda Hotel is a simple straight-forward hotel for back-pack tourists who just look for a bed and some simple facilities like water and a toilet. Nothing else.

Rooms are simple, but clean. Low lights, not sufficient for business travellers. Breakfast is simple. No business center. Very slow internet connection. No spa. Reminded me of a government hotel in communist countries.

Room Tip: Good for back-packers! Good for students. Good for low-budget travellers.

I found this hotel to be good value. It was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. It wasn't too far out of downtown, just a short taxi ride or 30 minute walk. All in all a worthwhile experience

A not to big hotel a little off the road but still oke.
Reasonable rooms but old could use some renovation. Same counts for there restaurant.
There breakfast is just oke.
For US$ 75 a day not what you may expect from similar hotels
in surrounding country,s like Cambodia or Vietnam.
