We had afternoon tea on our second day in Yangon, we are lovers of afternoon tea, it has become our 'staple' when going anywhere! we had one of the Burmese afternoon teas and a traditional English one, we shared between the two of us.

It feels like you are stepping back in time when you arrive here, I felt like an English man from another era, The staff were fantastic and very attentive even fixing our wobbly table. The only down point on this trip is that we had to leave.

I have eaten here twice in the last two years with business partners and it's a great place to be if you are in for some colonial past. The food was superb and the service outstanding (as one would expect). I loved the egg Benedict

Here is "ye little olde England"; a hotel modelled on one we might find in The Strand in London. Great service, beautiful instrumental playing in the foyer, and a wonderful area of internal shops - ideal for a gentle browse. Purchase prices extremely high!

Stopping there by chance just a few days before it closes for a 6-months renovation, we had a very good and tasty lunch with local flavor: chicken curry noodles, eggplants curry, and a chocolate base dessert. Though service was a bit slow. Overall, we got what we wanted: a taste of that old colonial British style atmosphere, a delicious meal and a price (>$60) which was at the level of similar places in Asia. If we go back to Yangon in 2017, we will certainly go back to taste the new carte.
