As the hotel is in Ma Campagne, you will need a driver or access to a car if you are there for tourism. I stayed there with my husband for 16 nights and it was such a surprise to find a hotel in Kinshasa which wasn't hugely overpriced but with a clean pool (albeit small) and hot water etc Our room was $85 a night compared to the Grand Hotel or Memling which are about $250-$300 and not as pleasant. We also got breakfast with our room rate but bread and eggs get a little boring after 16 days!
Having said that the restaurant was hugely overpriced for what it was, chicken with rice or chips etc was $25 so we ate there only once. The problem with the location is that your choice of local restaurants is limited so you have to go down town, 15 minutes with no traffic, rush hour can take up to 40 minutes.
As the pool is only about 5 meters long it was a real shame and spoilt our enjoyment of the pool that the staff allowed non residents of the hotel to use the pool, one family arrived en masse with about 8 children who were dive bombing us, this happenned for three days in a row. There is no wifi but there is a little cyber cafe which is fairly efficient on the hotel site but not always open. The hotel staff were in the main polite and friendly. We will stay here again and I recommend it to anyone who knows Kinshasa or is staying there for work but as a first time tourist I would recommend staying downtown as transport is difficult in Kinshasa and you wouldn't want to eat in their over priced restaurant every night!
