“Hidden in between the flashy resorts”

The Pacific Lagoon Apartments isn’t a 5 star resort and doesn’t claim to be, but it can give a true taste of that laid back lifestyle of Vanuatu. Chris, the Aussie manager, has the job everyone envies! He did make a big sacrifice though and resides in one of the apartments with a garden view instead of the ocean view. There are about a dozen apartments and you only have 1 apartment next to you and lots of greenery separating you from the others. Apparently Erakor Lagoon can get quite windy, but I enjoyed listening to the swaying coconut palms outside. And speaking of coconuts, don’t be afraid to ask Chris or one of the staff to pick a few fresh ones for while you are there. If you haven’t planned any tours or activities before you get there, don’t worry, Chris has all the local knowledge and will arrange anywhere you may want to go. He has endless suggestions. Even if you have booked a tour through an agent it would still pay to ring and confirm they will be picking you up as sometimes tours are cancelled if there are small numbers. In particular I suggest just doing a private tour around the Island on the ring road with Seth and his mini bus which Chris can arrange. There is an art gallery next door to the PLA which you can access via walking along the beach, or keep walking a little further and get the ferry to a restaurant on the other side of the lagoon. If you are after accommodation that is very quiet and great for kids and BBQs and only a short mini bus trip away from the center of Port Villa, give it a go, you won’t regret it.

Room Tip: Next I will try a room with a water view.

We loved stay at the Pacific Lagoon Apartments! The apartments are neat and comfortable. They are located close enough to town for shopping but far enough away to be out of the hustle of the city. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Whenever we had an issue, it was taken care of immediately. We would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Doesn't matter if you have the garden or lagoon view. They are very close to the water and are...

Pacific Lagoon Apts sit on a gorgeous part of Efate. The lagoon rooms are a must
as just sitting on your balcony or from the lounge is enough to put a smile on your face. My husband and I (both in stressful jobs) enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the place. Our 2 kids
aged 14 and 12 enjoyed the kayaking and snorkelling at the front door (literally). If you want
busy go next door to the Le Lagon but you will be quickly back at Pac Lagoon enjoying the serenity. The girls were great at reception and the cleanliness of our room after we arrived back from a day out was lovely. This place certainly is value for money and would highly recommend it to families who want the view, peace and quiet without the rowdiness of a busy hotel. Loved it..kids enjoyed the wifi on the couch... The Durrant Family

Room Tip: Rooms with the ocean and lagoon view a must...

Fantastic assistance in every aspect from Chris the Australian Manager. Nothing was too much trouble & he was always happy to offer advice to us. A nice place to stay - close to the lagoon. Even if you don't have a lagoon view it does not matter as the lagoon is just steps away & if you pull your chair out into the garden you will be able to have glimpses of the lagoon. East to catch the bus from the apartments into Villa. We never waited longer than a minute or two to catch one of the many numerous mini buses. Erakor Island is visible & a lovely place to visit. Go before 8.30 am or after 4.30 pm & your transfer will be free. Melanesian Night is a must for the food & the fantastic fire show. Self Catering apartments - no shops for obtaining food close by, but the Bon Marche Supermarket is a quick Mini Bus ride away to stock up on essentials. Thanks Chris again for all you did for us when we stayed.

As a 3 person party looking for a 2 bed apartment on Efate, Pacific Lagoon ticked all our boxes. We stayed in a sea view apartment and it was a wonderful, peaceful tranquil week away. Chris was very helpful in recommending places to go and things to see and his team of staff are all very efficient and friendly. We made the most of the free kayaking and proximity to the water. The trip to Erakor Island on the little ferry is a must, just a short stroll along the waters edge (when the tide is out). We definitely made the most of happy hour on the island!
The facilities at Pacific Lagoon are basic but all you need to enjoy Island Life! The local Vila markets are fantastic to enjoy local produce and the supermarkets are well stocked to make sure you get full use of the kitchen and bbq facilities at the apartments.

Great place to stay at a reasonable price, thanks Chris.

My girlfriend surprised me with this booking. We decided to do self catered in an effort to save more money that could then be spent on tours and attractions. She had booked a garden view room but we were upgraded to lagoon view. I must say WOW, the view was great straighr across to Erakor Island resort. The manager was so friendly and chilled. The staff were lovely. Chris gave us many great recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. With a great library of books and DVD's for when the weather turned a bit nasty. The units could do with a renovation to modernise but really we had no issues with anything! Some brighter lights in the living room would be nice though!.

Room Tip: either garden view or lagoon view is good

A great base to enjoy Port Vila- easy access to town on public transport; step off your porch and you are in the lagoon; pool; great BBQ area; and full facilities to cook for yourself if you so choose. Our family have stayed here a few year back when our children were in their mid teens and now in their in their twenties we just recently came back with their partners in tow as well. So relaxing, easy going, affordable, enough room to spread out, and close to tourist attractions and amenities for everyone to do their own thing. The staff were very helpful- especially organising airport transfers, car hire, choosing tours and even advise on where to get our groceries. I really felt like I had a holiday!

Room Tip: Apartments on the front have fantastic view of water, but ones behind have great garden and bit more...
