What a welcome, walking into tranquility, beautiful gardens and singing birds. Yes it is a piece of paradise!
Lovely stay in a spacious charming bungalow which was individually furnished and beautifully decorated with local flowers on arrival.
A small private beach with excellent swimming and snorkelling at the doorstep.
The resort is about a 20 min (bumpy) ride away from Port Villa through a local village and past some other resorts, which makes the drive interesting.
Ben makes the best cocktails during happy hour and Michael cooks superb meals everyday.
The amazing staff that makes this boutique resort outstanding! Thanks to Ben, Roslyn, Jane, Rachel, Jimmy, Michael and all the others one can not ask for anything more.
We'll be back!

Room Tip: All rooms excellent, lower numbered rooms closer to the beach, but no distances.

My husband and I visited Paradise Cove Resort for the 1st time. We stayed for 5 days and were looking for a really relaxing break. This resort did not disappoint. There are only about 10 bungalows (I think) so there are only a small number of guests at the resort. The resort is situated right on the water which has a jetty for ease of snorkelling and scuba diving. Whilst the resort itself doesnt have a dive shop they contacted Big Blue a local dive operator to come and pick me up and I was very happy with their operation. The resort has just changed Managers and the new managers Marc & Constance had only been there for a week when we arrived. We found all the staff to be a little shy but very friendly. I am also a Coeliac Sufferer and needed to have my food prepared Gluten Free and I must say they did an excellent job in doing this and Constance even organised some Gluten Free bread from the baker in Port Vila. This place is very quiet and if it's peace and quiet you are after then you won't be disappointed. The only problems we did find were that the showers were a bit small (particuarly because my husband is a big man) and the Wi-Fi didn't work during our stay, however, the new managers have assured us that these items are on the agenda for the not too distant future.

We just arrived back from the amazing Paradise Cove! We stated for one week and when I initially booked the trip I wasn't sure if this was enough but it was more than enough to relax and unwind.

It really is a special place - its such a quite, relaxing setting on the bay away from everything. No crowds here. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. Time literally slows down when you get there.

The snorkelling out the front was great, we snorkelled everyday and found it to be really enjoyable, its teeming with fish and marine life.

The staff were great and the food was excellent....it was no great not having to find somewhere to go every night to eat - we just walked down to the waterfront and ordered our meals after a few cocktails between 5 - 6pm - happy hour. We only ventured into port Vila for a meal once all week. The aspect makes the beach a great place to watch the sunset every afternoon whilst sipping some cheap cocktails. Because there are only 10 rooms it never very crowded either, most of the time it felt like our own private beach.

The only small negative I can see with the place is the average state of the rooms. The really do need an update in a lot of ways, they are just looking pretty tired overall and for such a nice place they do detract from it a little bit. It says they have a kitchenette but the ovens don't work (in all the rooms) and I had to put our kettle on the floor because the power point on the kitchen bench wasn't working.

It didn't bother us that much though because the only time we were in our room was to sleep each night!

I would really recommend Paradise Cove to those looking for a relaxing holiday. Really relaxing.

Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so good, hopefully we will be back soon.

This was our second visit of 9 days to Paradise Cove after a two year break. Why did we go back? It's the best location and holiday experience in Port Vila. A small, only about 12 bungalows, and quiet resort right on the bay. The water is always sheltered from the Trade winds so the free to use kayaks and snorkeling gear is a great bonus. There's great snorkeling along the coral reef right from the end of the resort's private beach and jetty. Staff in the bar and around the resort are really friendly and excellent at what they do. Lots of them have been there for several years and it makes a difference. Fresh fruit and flowers in each room which are replaced as needed is a nice touch. Eating right down by the beach to the sound of the waves lapping on the coral is a must do. If you want a relaxed holiday in a tranquil setting this is the place to go.

I've been putting off writing this review because I didn't know where to start. It was amazing from the moment we arrived and were greeted by the Managers - Belinda and Andrew and the resort dog, Pierra - to our sad farewell 10 days later. I needed another week at least.

The weather in August was perfect for moving around without being too hot and the water was always warm. One of the hi-lights for me was the evening I was floating in the bay in front of the resort at 5.30 watching the sun setting in front of me. Magical !

I also loved using the kayaks which Ben or one of the other friendly staff would happily carry down to the water for us. A couple of the kayaks have a glass bottom section for looking at the fish and star-fish.

A couple of times, Pierra came for a walk with us and we enjoyed a swim/dog paddle together.

Happy Hour 5 - 6pm was always an enjoyable part of the day and a very nice prelude to a delicious and well presented dinner. the staff were happy to set up a table for us any-where that took our fancy. The atmosphere was helped by the beautiful flower arrangements and candles set up everywhere and the dim lighting. however, having a little torch came in handy at times.

The continental/tropical breakfast included in the tariff was delicious and perfectly adequate to see us through the day.

The bungalow was rustic, bright during the day, comfortable, clean and perfectly safe. It was so nice to be able to walk out, leaving everything open and not bother taking anything with you other than a camera. At that time of year, the ceiling fans were fine and sometimes not needed at night. The only bugs I saw were little moths while the lights were on.

Another lovely feature of the bungalow was the outdoor setting complete with hammock.

So many choices of areas to spend time relaxing and reading. And of course, there was the Massage Hut. We had 2 wonderful and very professional 1 hour massages.

Paradise Cove is a little way out of town - about 25 minutes drive - but it's so easy to get one of the little buses for 300 vatu if you want to spend time looking around other places and shops in town. In the Bar they have a board that you can put your room number on to book either a 9.30am or 1.30pm bus each day. Then coming back is as easy as waving down one of the same little buses wherever you happen to be at the time. So being out of the way in such a beautiful part of Pt Vila is not a problem at all.

Being so small and intimate, all the staff knew our names, so that made for a very friendly and family type of atmosphere.

The resort is about 10 minutes walk to the local village of Pango and you're welcome to visit the School or one of the Churches. Which we did and had a wonderful "happy clappy" experience which lasted for more than 2.5 hours.

I will go back to Vila one day because there is still so much to see and do. And i will be happy to book into paradise Cove.

I travelled with a friend, but would feel perfectly safe going on my own.

Hello to Belinda and Andrew and please pass on my thanks to Ben and every one else.

And of course, a big sloppy kiss for Pierra.

Christine O

From our ecstatic welcome to our tearful departure Paradise Cove's staff were attentive, hospitable and generous. Every day was suitable for snorkelling or kayaking or lounging by the beach. Our doorway was decorated with a palm leaf arch with sprays of flowers when we arrived and fresh flowers were added daily. No-one was too busy or rushed to stop and talk and the managers, Belinda and Andrew, were helpful, attentive and thoughtful hosts. Their modelling of such friendly behaviour encouraged all guests to behave in the same warm, relaxed fashion so that the atmosphere at PC was amiable and fun. The organising of tours, transfers or other services was speedily effected when needed. As for the garden surroundings, the resort was beautifully maintained and landscaped, a pleasure to walk in.

As of November 1st, the resort is under new management and ownership. These owners face a real challenge to match the quality of hospitality and management established by Andrew and Belinda. If they cannot do that, the unique attractiveness of the resort is in danger. If they do, Paradise Cove will hopefully continue to live up to its name and we will surely return to enjoy colourful sunsets and passing cruiseliners.

Room Tip: All rooms are attractively furnished with local artefacts and furniture.

My partner and I have just returned from 6 days at Paradise Cove Resort. What a place! Set in the tranquil grounds of a beautifully maintained tropical garden with a private beach and jetty at the end of the garden where we could swim and snorkel in the warm waters ... a stunning location. So peaceful and laid back but with easy access to anything more adventurous if we wanted it. The staff are the most genuinely warm, friendly yet highly professional staff I have experienced in holiday accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble and all requests were responded to promptly with ease. I was sick on the last night and Ben, the bar manager, went out of his way to check whether I needed medical attention and organised room service for us so I could rest. Such superb service. So nice to have a break from the hustle and bustle of a big city to a small peaceful resort where we felt so welcome. Paradise Cove Resort is a really lovely community. Excellent food too. We didn't bother eating out anywhere else!
